How tidy are you?

I'm a pretty messy guy. I'll clean up every once in a while, but random piles of whatever just seem to build up in my living area. I'm really working on being tidier and cleaner, and getting stuff done right away in general. How about you?

My main problem is sometimes I have too much stuff to be able to effectively dedicate spaces for everything so daily mail/bills/receipts can start to pile up here and there. I hate it though as I STRONGLY prefer to live in neat, clean, and organized environments.

Fuck this, I'm going clean up.

I voted "tidy" only because of work - my desk at home is kind of haphazard with stuff pretty much everywhere but my desk at work is really organized and pretty much clutter free.

I just organized everything in my room exactly as I want it. The only things remaining that I need to get rid of are 1) old textbooks, 2) some CD's, 3) some books, 4) some old clothes, and 5) a bop-it toy. But other than that it is pretty much perfect.

Messy. I keep my clothes in a pile on the floor, I have my last computer sitting beside me functioning as a table for more mess, and I have to shift mess around to alternate between using my bed and my computer chair. :lol

I find that tidiness isn't productive, for the most part. I'm not talking dirty stuff like plates and food etc that need to be cleared up, but general mess like a desk full of papers, or stuff scattered across the room is a sign of things actually being used.

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Come on man, you're just excusing yourself. Tidyness is damn productive.

No I'm not. I have no need to excuse myself. It just puts everything further away from where I use it, for the sake of looking pretty to other people.

Total slob.  Treat my living space as a trashcan, let it build for a couple weeks, then do mass cleaning.

Down the middle, I guess. I wouldn't call myself tidy, but I'm definitely not as messy as some people that I know and I always know where I find stuff when I need it.

Very tidy - everything has to be in order

The problem is that I also have an almost irrational sense of responsibility and live with three people who are complete slobs.  I never leave my shit lying around, but everyone else does, and if I ask any of them to take care of their shit, they can always point to at least one other person's shit that's still there, also in the way, and point out that it wouldn't actually make any difference.  The only solution is to devote some time to a mass-cleaning project, but I won't do that because none of it's mine.
