Where's Wall-E?
« on: May 23, 2012, 12:54:46 PM »
George Takei shared this on Facebook...

First find Wall-E, but more importantly, identify all the other droids, I think we got enough geeks on DTF to slam dunk this thing.

(if anyone can blow it up and repost the pic, it might make it easier, my skills are meager at best)

Robin Williams' character from Millennium Man

A Cylon (and some other stuff from BSG)
The T-101 Terminator
The robot from Planet of Storms?!?!?!
Blur from Transformers
The big shooty thingy from Robocop?
A Dalek
the thingy from Robots

Found Wall-E pretty quickly.

What's really bothering me is that I can't remember where that dog chasing the mouse near the bottom right is from. Seems so familiar...

There is the robot from Heavy Metal, and one guy said the one from Rocky IV is there, but I haven't found him yet.

@blob, sorry, but good fun should ensue here anyways

Pretty cool.  I recognize a bunch, but defnitely not all.  A few to add:

Tweeky (Buck Rogers)
a squiddy (the Matrix)
Rosey (the Jetsons)
V.I.N.CENT (The Black Hole)
Evil red robot from The Black Hole (as far as I know, doesn't have a name)
Klaatu (I had to look up the name--the robot from The Day The Earth Stood Still)
EVE (Wall-E)
Johnny 5
Green droid (Android O.S. mascot)

...and a bunch more.

The T-101 Terminator

There's a T-1000 just over to the right as well.

Notably absent (unless I missed them from my brief perusal) are Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo.  :(

Plex from Yo Gabba Gabba.  Oh and the guy from Return to Oz is called Tick Tock I think.

Is the robot who turns into the band's gear in Captain EO on there?  He should be.

I don't think cybermen are considered robots either, right? I was under the impression they have human brains at the very least.

Never played it, so this could be way off, but would it be the companion cube from Portal?

Yep, good shout! I think the brain's threaded through the metal, though, so it's at least a cyborg - more arguable than the dalek. A dalek's just a jellyfish in a car.

I don't think anyone technically said they all had to be robots.  I think we just assumed that since most of them are.
