The creation and destruction of harmonic and 'statistical' tensions is essential to the maintenance of compositional drama. Any composition (or improvisation) which remains consonant and 'regular' throughout is, for me, equivalent to watching a movie with only 'good guys' in it, or eating cottage cheese.

Here's a post I made in a different thread,

Jammed at the Whisky with some friends a few months ago. Here's the video. We're not a band, just some friends jamming. Ignore the singing - the guy who sang isn't a singer, he was just a friend who wanted to help out cause we needed someone to sing. I'm on guitar. Fucked up a few times, but what can ya do? hahaha. (please no trolling about the singing.)

Here's my recent guitar cover of Under a Glass Moon guys! Any views and likes (if you like it lol) would be much appreciated! Below is the video link...

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gL2EC0wW5WA

Since I see people mentioning other bands besides DT, I play all sorts of stuff. I put up some Maiden bass covers (Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and The Trooper), and am working on a couple of Metallica and Megadeth guitar/vocal covers, some Priest, more DT guitar covers and a bunch of other stuff. Eventually original stuff too!

https://www.youtube.com/user/diezel013/videos?view=0&flow=grid

and here are my other videos thus far (I know, not many, but much more on the way)

I'm finally able to contribute to this thread! This is the only video I have at the moment. I'm working on getting more. It's my piano version on Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Thanks heaps guys.  Always liked that solo so just decided to learn it and do a vid.

It's an ibanez Prestige RG.  It's the same one Marco Sfogli plays, as shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7YIWOSBX_U

The amp is an old Peavy Bandit.  I've always loved the sound of it.  it's not that great for live, but for the odd recording and at home practice, it's incredible.

Uploaded a few acoustic originals to youtube. Most of them I referred to as "songs" in the descriptions, but really they're just little parts intended to be used as intros or interludes on my band's upcoming debut release, or for future releases. I hope you enjoy them. There are MANY more pieces of music to come, if you guys like these!

How did you record yourself playing? I'd like to record myself playing as well for DTF someday and I have the recording equipment if needed, but I don't have a video camera. I could just do the whole thing with my phone, but that's not really the same I suppose.

I'm pretty much a noob at recording.  Just miced up my amp and run through cool edit, it's pretty simple and works well enough.

Decided to join in on the fun  ;D  Here are two videos of me playing guitar.  First the solo from "Kindred Spirits" by LTE.  Then the first solo from ITPOE.  This one was tough I remember as JP was not there playing with me on the backing track  :lol   (also not left handed, just the app I used that day)
