"The original sequence of the main Casualties album was to include 'GONE IS GONE' before Broken, but couldn’t because of the length limitations of a standard CD.

There are the following four songs, in a new sequence with crossfades and extra ambience etc that you can insert into media player to replace Forgive Me - Broken – Bones.

09) FORGIVE ME (Alternate Sequence)
10) GONE IS GONE (Alternate Sequence)
11) BROKEN (Alternate Sequence)
12) BONES (Alternate Sequence)

Enjoy!"

Rest assured, it'll be out sooner or later. I feel for you though, this is the first time I've ever been on the other side of the fence. It's worth it, to be sure!

Which brings me to my original point of posting: To reiterate my love for Thing. I can't get over how amazingly hardcore and beautiful this song is, without a doubt, after the twenty or so plays it's gotten in a few days time...it's my favorite metal song of his. First it was Aftermath, then Disruptr...and I didn't think anything would beat that out ever, but Thing blows it out of the water. I can't wait for everyone else to hear it, it's so completely out of left field it's ridiculous. I still question if it actually came from the CoC sessions, there's just no way. So. Fucking. Metal.  :lol :metal

Finally got my hands on Disc 2 and the goodies from the bone. I started listening to Disc 2 but my curiosity regarding Thing has come over me and I decided to listen to the Pledge exclusive stuff first. So, Cold Feet is alright, kind of like the first disc stuff. I like the guitar solo a lot.

So, now Thing. Loving those low vocals and the Disruptr-esque nature of it. The spacey synths are an interesting touch. I can tell it's building up to something wonderful. Uh...wow. That's some monstrously low guitar. I don't think it's even close to the majesty of Deconstruction, but it's definitely a cool track worth hearing.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

SO glad you finally heard it! But sad that you're not as sudowoodo'd out over it as I am. Man, I just can't get over it, I fucking love it so much. I suppose that with all the layers of Decon, you really can't match it with what's done in Thing, no matter how down-tuned and deep it is. But it still feels deeper and 'heavier' initially than Decon to me. Again though...those wonderfully sexual layers. I suppose it's simply more apparent right off the bat.

Yeah, after a while Cold Feet kind of petered out for me. It's awesome, no doubt, but it feels like a mash up of some of the more country-ish songs from disc 1.

Good stuff though, I'm glad you heard it. I can't wait till the masses have access to it, I think it's gonna come outta left field for a lot of people...and why wouldn't it? It sounds like a Ki b-sides than anything even remotely in the same galaxy (LLLOOOOOOLLLL I'M DIFFERENT YEAH I'M DIFFERENT) as CoC.

Does it work effectively if you just copy Gone is Gone from Disc 2 into Disc 1?

Not really, the tracks themselves are different, not just the sequence. I actually tried doing it myself out of curiosity after I got the USB in and it's pretty wonky; the altered tracks are a far better segue into the next song. I mean, I'm sure without listening to the way it's intended it wouldn't sound all that bad, but it's like night and day when you hear how it was originally created. Those few seconds of ambiance and fusion of the songs truly makes a big difference.

I'm pretty positive that it'll just be a matter of time before it's released to the public and/or some kind of box set in the future. Either that or there's always  :yarr when it inevitably get uploaded.

Man, I really gotta restrain myself from watching that, since I don't wanna know the setlist for the concert in Holland next Tuesday (which will probably be similar to this one). Anyway, you're making it reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally hard for me TioJorge, it sounds awesome xD

I friggin' hate you right now. Like true, abhorrent, vicious hatred. I just finished the concert...I envy you so much, if I had a nice penis, I'd say I'd give you my beautiful penis to see the show since there's no more beautiful penis than mine so surely yours is gross and I'd give you mine. But I don't. I have an ugly penis. So fuck.

It's amazing. It's like a fucking comedy show and an amazingly emotional metal as fuck concert. Awesome setlist. Disappoint is not I. Sleep? Me. Yes.

But yeah don't watch it. You'll cream yourself more when you see it.

(I'd also like to note that despite the loss of most of my brain function...I still didn't slip on spoiling any setlist info.  :rollin I'll spoil movies, games, books if I could read, and anything else...but a setlist? FAWWWWWWWK YOUUUUUU NO WAI) )))))) ZZZzzzZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (goodnitedrunkthread)

Some of this stuff on the bonus disc of Casualties is pretty great.  Okay, a lot of it is great.  And the main disc continues to grow on me.  This might end up being my favorite of Devin's mellow-ish albums (Ki, Ghost and Casualties).

I listened to Casualties a lot when it first came out, then I guess I overplayed it and stopped listening. Now I'm back into it and I feel it's even better than I initially thought! Hard to say if I like it more than Ki, but definitely more than Ghost.

That's exactly my thought, too! *high five*

The thing with Ghost is, the majority of the songs are exclusive to album only listens, while most of Casualties are songs that can be listened to outside of the album (like on shuffle or something).  That doesn't make Casualties necessarily better, but given that I don't always time for whole album listens, it just means that the Casualties songs are more likely to get listened to a lot.  The only songs from Ghost that get rotation from me outside of the album listens are Feather (the single edit I made), Ghost, Blackberry and Texada.
