So, yesterday, I got their Flood record, and it was fantastic!

Like, even the songs that weren't Particle Man or Istanbul were great.  Why didn't these guys have a thread?

Because there might be only three They might be giants fans on this forum, including myself.

I got into this band in the summer of 2010, and I've been spinning their stuff since. Sometimes I just need a brief wacky tune that's gonna make my day, and the best way to get one is to put on Lincoln. And then if you decide to focus on the lyrics, you've got some deep stuff that makes you think. Lincoln is my favorite album of theirs, but I also love the debut, John Henry, and their latest release Join us.

Favorite songs? Way too many.  ;D

I got into these guys around 1994 or so.  Truly some quirky, awesome stuff.

Sometimes I just need a brief wacky tune that's gonna make my day

for me this is summed up in "Minimum Wage", best 47 second song ever

But my favorite track of theirs is "James K Polk" from Factory Showroom.  Every president should have a song like this.  Would make American History a much more enjoyable class.
Winger would be better!

. . . and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

My brother is a huge fan, so I heard them a lot in in high school.  They're fun, but alternative rock isn't exactly prominent here.
