b_f, part of the reason for more 4,000 yard seasons now is simply that teams in the NFL throw the ball a hell of lot more often than they used to.

The Eagles need to fire Andy Reid right now.
My preference would be to see him and Dog-Killer put into cannons and fired right the fuck into each other.  I'd pay to see that.

And part of the reason they're throwing more is because DBs' wings have been clipped by all of the offense-favoring rule changes.

Could we at least give Vick a few games in a system designed so suit his strengths before ruling him out?

FUCK YOU GIANTS! What a fantastic choke job and great decision to play scared, "waste a whole possession intentionally just to run a few extra seconds off the clock" football.

Tom Coughlin, you're a pussy for the ages.

At least it wasn't his hair. I remember watching a game where a guy got called out of bounds because his hair touched the sideline.

And what would you make the rule?  If it's just kind of out of bounds you can let them have the catch?

Given my biased judgement of the catch, 99.9% of him was inbounds, I just think the NFL has gotten over analytical of plays.

99.9%....OK, so should we measure body mass until they've determined exactly how much of the body constitutes the other .1%?

I understand your frustration, but you're only inviting further dissection.     You either have rules in football or you don't.   Sometimes it falls your way, sometimes it doesn't.    When emotions get involved, that's when people want the boundary to go the other way....but at a certain point, you've got to be logical about this.

Fuck these refs. The Saints are doing a beyond good enough job of losing the game on their own without that cocksucker Champ Bailey getting away with blatant PI on consecutive plays. Seriously, how far past the 5-yard bump-and-chuck zone does Colston have to be before they'll call PI on that piece of shit Bailey?

If you're not a Panthers fan, why in the name of blue fuck is he your favorite player?

It started when he was playing for Auburn, and then he got drafted and people said he wouldn't be a very successful QB, and I was like, "Just watch, he'll prove you all wrong," and then he had an amazing rookie season. Now he's struggling, and it's pretty frustrating.

Oh I know and I get that I'm only letting my fan ship take over, interesting thing though I was talking about it with my dad who was going for the Giants and he said there was no doubt in his mind had that happened in the 90's it would have definitely been a touchdown.
I get that the rules are there for a reason, sometimes I just feel the nfl is too meticulous.

Too meticulous?  Yeah, let's operate under the "close enough" system.  "You didn't land in bounds, but you were close, so here, have a touchdown."

And the reason that would have been a TD in the 90s was because replay wasn't around for most of that decade, so the call on the field, that of a touchdown, would have stood.  But today's reversal showed why replay is so great, as Dallas would have gotten a tainted win cause of a touchdown that should never have counted.  Replay got it right.

Look I'm obviously not saying if they were only partially inbound it should count, don't make it seem like that all I'm saying is his fingertips Barely even grazed the line, and I feel like that's just too meticulous, kind of like puffy pats example.  And thanks for pretty much telling what I already knew from the 90's example I gave.

It is NOT too meticulous, and no offense, but to argue otherwise is foolish.  The first part of his body to land on the ground touched out of bounds.  It is that simple.
