Disclaimer: This sort of thing is, generally speaking, quite illegal. If you don't find that bothersome, I hear good things about Handbrake.

So if you buy a dvd and want to put it on your ipod that's illegal too? Jesus H

Yeah, legally speaking, they force you to buy through their movie store on Itunes.  It's a load of horseshit.

Doesn't have anything to do with Apple. Buying a movie on DVD gives you the legal right to watch that DVD on a DVD player, but not to take the files and watch them on your PC. These are laws.

Laws are dumb! I understand public viewing license but come on. We have so many forms media players now.

Maybe these laws will be renegotiated in the future, but this is the agreement the American public currently has with movie producers.

Yeah, apparently you don't actually own the dvd, but technically only payed to license its viewing. (which doesn't include ripping).

I'm not sure of the exact wording of the actual law, but That's how one of my professors explained it.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'.” - Bob Newhart
So wait, we're spelling it wrong and king is spelling it right? What is going on here? :lol -- BlobVanDam

This without a doubt. I use it to rip my home movies from DVD. Seriously, I do. Maybe some other stuff too.

Free ... My favorite price. Even a Mac version.
