Foxy Shazam
« on: March 07, 2012, 07:13:16 PM »
Just got into these guys about 2 weeks ago and I'm digging them immensely. Their latest two albums are awesome and everyone needs to listen to their S/T, like now...

So, Justin, Marc...

Anyone else like these dudes?

I'm digging these guys as well!  I haven't picked up any of their albums yet, but I did see them live recently in Boston, opening for The Darkness.  They put on an awesome show for sure!  The Darkness seemed a bit boring in comparison, believe it or not.

And if you haven't seen them, go check out Foxy Shazam's "lesson" videos on youtube... HILARIOUS  :)

Oh Lord is probably in my top 5 songs of all time. The rest of the self-titled is excellent, and the new one is pretty solid as well. Still haven't gotten into the first two though.

Seriously. It's crazy. Oh Lord is absolutely stunning, but songs like Count Me Out, Unstoppable, and Second Floor are all almost there in awesomeness.

Haven't listened to much of them, but I haven't been at all impressed with what I have heard.

I've heard one album when Marc sent me a song in my roulette, and really enjoyed it, although I haven't felt any huge desire to go and check out all the rest of their stuff. Lots of fun, but nothing hugely special.

I really like their cover of Walking in the Air, and the S/T is cool as well.  They seem like a hell of a live band.

EEH OOH AH! A-BIGGIDY BIGGIDY BOO!

Introduced to them by my brother, who still owes me a burned CD of them, the Black Keys, and one other band I forgot the name of.

Yeah..

They're awesome live. Remember both times I saw them. It was pretty obvious they were having fun on stage, and I wouldn't be surprised if the main singer is insane.  Their music isn't always my thing, but one of the better live acts out there, in my opinion.

Looks like I'm definitely going to see them in Lansing. It'll be a hell of a drive, but it will be worth it.

AHHH NECRO

My brother finally gave me some of their stuff: No. Don't Shoot!, Holy Touch, and I Like It.

I'm really likin' the music these young folks are listening to these days.

I came in here to say that I got a Foxy Shazam song from my roulette, and I've been meaning to check them out.

Considering I was the one who sent the song, I again urge you to listen to the full album. It's phenomenal.
