The Artist should win and will win. It's comforting to see a black & white silent picture dominating the awards season in 2012.
I was also especially impressed with Hugo, another nostalgic tribute to the magic and history of cinema.

From what I've heard and seen, it'll be the Artist.  I haven't seen any of these movies though.  I'm so damn behind.

I think it will be Hugo, and I hope I'm right. It was absolutely fantastic.
If you have an interest in cinema at all, you will love this movie.

I could see them choosing The Artist, but I hope they don't. I enjoyed it. It's a charming, delightful homage to silent film. It doesn't really go above that though.
