What Do You Do/Are You Studying to Do for a Living?
« on: February 13, 2012, 04:17:54 PM »
Exactly what it sounds like. For instance, I'm currently an undergrad student, but I'm an aspiring green consultant. I want to work for a company as someone who helps make their production process (if not the products themselves) more environmentally friendly.

And you?

I flip burgers and yell sweet nothings at waitresses.

I knew it.

I'm a site manager for a company that does pallet sortation for a Wal Mart Distribution Center.  And let me tell you Wal Mart pushes "Green" very much so.  We separate wood, plastic, cardboard and plasitic, ect for them.

Undergad, junior year. Currently majoring in business, I guess in accounting but I actually have no idea what I want to do. Definitely not accounting. I'm leaning towards computer science, but that just means I will have to do that whole program in about 1.5 - 2 years.

Unemployed.

Possibly seeking masters or greater in computer science.  Undecided, though.

Seeking quiet and peaceful workplace.

I was going to get my MFA, then decided it wasn't worth the expense because unless I intend to teach, it won't really benefit me. And I am not one who should be teaching.

Unemployed, don't know what I'm doing next cause I have no idea what I wanna be or do. Trying to develop indifference for the matter so I can have peace of mind but I can't yet  :loser:

Trying to narrow down sub-specialties right now as I get ready to apply for residency.  Would also like to do research in some capacity.  Formerly in business and IT.

I mean I'm a completed Politics major, but I was never planning to run for office or anything, most it would be was some administrative work in public policy. And over the last year I discovered that I could turn my mortal fear of climate change into a career, so that's what I'm hoping to do. :lol

I have a BS degree (pun intended) in Industrial Technology, currently finishing up an MS in Education by the end of this summer. I'll either start my 1st year of teaching this next school year or see if I can't use my BS degree to land a position in a somewhat recovering job market in the Silicon Valley.
