OSI - Free - Round 1

"Home Was Good", I really don't like this song, kills the momentum of the whole album.

Let's try to not muck this survivor up like the last one

Home Was Good is one of the highlights of the album, imo.

Vote goes for Better.

Used Media PLayer to find my 3 least fave tracks, and went from there. Sadly for the survivor, I still liked them all a bunch, so picked 'Once' at random from those 3.

Oh man, I need to listen to this album first. And keep track of the tracks, I just put this on normally, I have no idea what song is where.

Hands down my all time favorite OSI album.  This is going to be like trying to pick tracks from Rage for Order.

Just about everything on here is amazing.   Although it starts a little weak...I think the first two tracks are just OK, and I will often start the album with Go.

It also lulls a little bit with Kicking and Better...but it ends really strong.  (although it's my understanding that I'm in the minority in *LOVING* Our Town)

So as much as I love them. I could see my vote going for Sure You Will, Free, Better or Kicking.    Time to pull out the four sided die again.

In looking on it, Better or Free.     Ok, I vote Better.

Who voted for "Better"?  That song rocks the house!  I picked "Simple Life."  The lyrics in that song are mad cheeseball.

Everything on this album rocks the house.

My vote goes to Once - it lacks a real climax and gets repetitive towards the end.

Yeah, in my eyes (or ears) Free is the best OSI album by far! :metal My favorites are Bigger Wave, Go, Better and Simple Life. Of course the lyrics in the latter ain't Kevin's best work but I like the sarcastic tone they have.

IMO Bigger Wave to Simple Life is the strongest part of Free while Once and Our Town aren't the best possible closing duo.

After hundreds of adoring spins, I've settled on All Gone Now as a favorite...but it gets really hard after that.
