Well let's see. The week starts out with me meeting my friend on the bus. He says something like "Hey! Did you hear about the kid that died?" I replied "Who?" Him, "I think his name was (person's name). He died in a crash." This shocked me. He was an acquaintance of mine. Not exactly friends, but he was a decent guy. It saddened me, as he's in my grade and I've been in many of his classes.
The next day, said friend posts status saying the following: "Another car accident, up on lake shore drive, a 9 year old girl is involved". I thought damn, that's horrible. My dad then messages me saying "Your cousins were in the accident on lakeshore drive. (name of 9-year-old female cousin) is dead. (name of 5-year-old male cousin) is in a coma and they aren't sure if he'll wake up." I was shocked. They were close cousins of mine and were way too young to go.
I went to her funeral yesterday. It was open casket, which depressed me to see.
I heard now that my 5-year-old cousin will likely be okay, but the after-effects are unknown. I really needed to vent. So much negativity this week.
