I thought it could be cool to see the movie samples used in Honor Thy Father all synchronized to the corresponding movie scenes !
So I did my research, a little bit of editing...and here it is

Nice, thanks for that. I didn't know that these were samples from movies and I always thought that I heard MP talking at 1:05 and 1:10 (Christopher Walken and Sean Penn).

I liked it! It was great to see the original clips, as I've never seen any of these movies. I actually didn't notice who all of these actors were until see the clips, so that's cool. If it weren't for copyright issues, it would be cool to see this used on the big screen if/when they play the song live again.

On a technical level, is that music slightly sped up? The pitch sounds ever so slightly higher.

Yes it is ! Little trick to bypass the youtube recognition...otherwise the video's blocked worldwide...

Nice. I thought the difference had to be more for it to avoid detection. I'll have to keep that trick in mind.

That was amazing. Always wondered about the samples, I knew they were from movies though. I didn't think it skipped so randomly through so many movies though.

I remember seeing something similar to this and it included all samples, SDV, 6:00. Cool videos, I love this kind of thing.

But man, didn't occur to me that it included two of the crappiest moves I have ever seen (Magnolia and the Royal Tenenbaums - though technically I didn't finish the Royal Tenebaums, it was so bad)

When I was watching Oz for the first time a year or so ago, it was quite cool hearing Vern Schillinger say 'when your own flesh and blood renounces you, you have no choice but to renounce them'. I thought it sounded familiar, then it dawned on me it was from HTF

Of the other clips, I've only see Magnolia before.

I'm amazed you nailed em all!! (the Oz one is surely the hardest one..)
I can guarantee the other DT guys couldn't even name all these!! (that's not a dig, just a reality as I did this montage myself...)

This montage and the one I did for "Repentance" are two of my favorite production pieces I did for the band...
