Wu-Tang Clan
« on: January 01, 2012, 09:35:13 PM »
Why do we not have a thread for the greatest hip hop collective of all time?

36 Chambers is one of the greatest albums ever released, and is worth its weight in gold.

I can't be the only Wu fan on DTF....I urge everyone not familiar with the group to listen to the following songs.

To any other fans on DTF: who's your favorite Clansman? For me, I have to say Ghostface. RZA, GZA, and Meth come close.

I only know two of their songs as covers: System of a Down covering "Shame" and Mindless Self Indulgence covering "Bring the Pain"

Yes, Orcus. Get it ASAP.

I didn't know System covered them, but it isn't surprising since RZA and Shavo are such good friends.

I really dig these guys but am not super-familiar with most of their stuff. When I was about 12 and Wu-Tang Forever came out I remember having a very vivid nightmare about killer bees  :lol
Oh Jackie, always jumping to the most homoerotic possibility.

Genius GZA and Raekwon the Chef are the best them.  Also it was blown up as fuck when Wu Tang Forever first came out, but "Triumph" is an awesome jam.

Edit:  Also "It's Wu muthafucka.  Wu-Tang muthafucka." With that acoustic guitar & violin riff.   :hat
