Paul Di'anno, Paul Di'anno, Paul Di'anno...

I haven't heard it like this, but it sounds the same, eh?
Long after the others are dead, Myung will be found in a temple on the top of a very very high mountain. One must climb up, arrive nearly dead before being granted a moment of his infinite wisdom.

Innocence Faded - fists like a fossil.

Actually, Innocence faded seems to have the most lyrics that I can't understand..... :justjen

I've misheard it a lot. I remember only:

Wearing not to fail in this way

What it even is?

Ah,

Wearing apatethic displays.

E: Battled and bruised (Peruvian Skies)

Keep your thoughts and your heets looked inside of your head (Burning My Soul)

It's time to made a deal, they're coming on too well (The Mirror)

Others fly and I fall again (Pull Me Under)

A long while ago, I read a comment on a YouTube video of "Voices" that contained "misheard lyrics" based on the section at around 3:25. It read as follows:

"F*ck this wh*re! Drink a troll now be with my mind, I'm a radio! But where is the girl that i'm feeling? I feel Elane. I feel the breast sucks his di*k, CAPTAIN SEX!!"

                                                                                                                                                                                                                         - James LaBrie
NOTHING beats it!  :lol :rollin

In "Scarred" you can hear James scream "ELAAASTIC RUBBERBAAANDS" at around 3:11 without the shadow of a doubt.

I commented on that on the respective Youtube-Video and it was almost immediately liked by around 30 people.  :lol

Well, it's not really misheard by me but I read a comment on BITS.

.............the Paprika reality....................is tearing apart.

I find that funny, and often sing the song that way.

I don't think it counts as misheard exactly, but I just could not for the life of me figure out the section in A Rite of Passage:

"..an enigmatic union of esoteric thought."

I never would have parsed it without the lyrics sheet.

Take The Time:

Just let me catch my breath
I've seen the promises, I've seen knot mistakes
I've had my fair share of tough bricks
Need a new voice, new lawn, new wig
Take the time to reevaluate
It's time to pick up the pieces, go back to square one
I think it's time for a CHAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIR!

But I think this is the granddaddy of them all: Only A Matter Of Thyme

I can't believe how many stupid DT pictures the creator of this video found.  :lol

They were all from the caption thread. :D I might still have them on my external drive with the videos somewhere.

I need to do more misheard lyric videos. I started some for Opeth and Strapping Young Lad but never finished them.

In the Presence of Enemies Part 1:    Real: "Redemption for humanity"
Misheard as: "Redemption for you manatee"

:lol

Paul Di'anno, Paul Di'anno, Paul Di'anno...

Yeah, nobody would believe it but it sounds like that.

I remember also that ''Haunting my dreams'' from A Nightmare to remember really sounding like ''Porcupine tree'' to me.

The creation and destruction of harmonic and 'statistical' tensions is essential to the maintenance of compositional drama. Any composition (or improvisation) which remains consonant and 'regular' throughout is, for me, equivalent to watching a movie with only 'good guys' in it, or eating cottage cheese.
