I should state that this round is pretty much impossible to score. I have received numerous songs that would be in almost any forum members top of list. I will be judging on how well I was taken back to the moment. For this round, all scores will be high, don't worry, I'll weed you guys out real soon.

OK, Round Two Results......

This was a very hard round to judge, as I told all of you in my PMs, and in retrospect, I should have thought it through better, but what is, is. First and foremost, I want to thank all of you for sharing your memories with me, I feel I know each of you better, and I am a better man for it. Because of the personal nature, and the epic nature of some of the songs sent(four of them would be on my all time list, easily) my judging is based solely on how well I was taken back to that moment in time when music changed for you, and became a vital part of your soul. All right, time to start creating some space. This will be a "new song" round. I will answer PMs about whether I have heard a band or not. I will be very judgemental this round, to make up for last round, so choose wisely.

It is the Holidays, and this is my schedule...
I'm off Tuesday, other than that, I work 11am to 11pm every day through New Years.

Not much time for the joy, hope, and happiness of the holidays to be celebrated you say? I'm glad your concerned, cause that is your next challenge. Give me a song to bring joy, happiness, and hope to my holidays. No Christmas songs, please. I want songs that will give me that feeling year round. The interesting thing is all these bands crossed my mind during this round... with different songs... Queen, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Pantera... and Pink Floyd with the exact same song.... Time

I know you wanted THE song... but I think in my case it happened gradually and I had THAT moment couple of times.... with these bands.... also I am a gemini.... I am terrible at choosing

also glad that you liked Paradise Lost... (well I'm inferring that you liked them from what you said in your PM) they played they their role in shaping the current obscure....

Wahoo.... finally nailed one! This round is going to be tricky... do ya go with the lyrics, the music, or the overall mood??? Sentimental/touching ballad, or a rockin' beat that lifts one's spirits? Hmmmm... it's gonna take some time to figure this one out.

Unfortunately, it stands to reason that a lot of the easy/obvious ones (eg, Beach Boys), are going to be known to you.

It's unlikely I'll ever freek out like that again....and I thank everyone's patience on that one. Actually bosky kept me from a good temp banning a while back in the "hey Mike Portnoy is here" thread.

Anyhow...great idea for a round.

PF - Time is my all time favorite song, any genre. I listend to it (when I can) on vinyl in the dark...with maybe a candle or two lit...it is a very moving song for me.
