What did you think of Pandemonium?

Love it.
Just the right  balance of melody and heaviness. I was a big fan of WUTTRW but Panda kicked it's arse.

I have literally never bought a Pretty Maids album. I remember they had a popular video in the 80's. Is that the same singer?

Yes.  Original singer and guitarist.

Yeah man, it was incredible.

Also, Apollo left Firewind.  I wasn't really a fan of their last one, but now with Apollo out I don't have much interest left in this band.  :'(

Been a while since I posted a new find.  Richard West (Threshold) and his wife Farrah (hawt!).... League of Lights.

Their website streams one of their tracks (https://www.leagueoflights.com/music.htm), and there's more on YT.  Glynn Morgan (one-time Threhold lead singer) has a nice duet with them - https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=HzFTPSnFNAA
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

EDIT: That youtube song was pretty good.

That was damn fine.  Lot of miles under the hood on those cats!!

Damn you Kade.  Pretty Maids was one of those bands that I never got in to... no reason, just never heard much by them.  Now I might have to change that.

I actually checked the new Pretty Maids track from the Bravewords link. I was quite excited for give them a fresh listen, but I did not care for it.

How old is the singer? He doesn't look a day over 92!
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Sounded ok, but too metal for my tastes in the genre. Kind of lost me at the chorus, I'm afraid. Not that it sounded bad at all, it's just not really my preference. :dunno:
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Over at Melodicrockcom a poster is reporting that Teeny from Wig Wam is the new guitarist in Jorn's band. I love Wigwam (well, the first two albums) and Teeny is a decent guitarist and can write a riff so may be good.
Checked Jorn's website and it's legit.

Anybody hear the second W.E.T sample? Saw it over at melodicrock. Love Heals I think it was called. I thought it was much better than the first song. Looking forward to that album.

I never really got into their older stuff that much, check the last one, it's essential and the live DVD and CD they put out last year was excellent.

Sounded ok, but too metal for my tastes in the genre. Kind of lost me at the chorus, I'm afraid. Not that it sounded bad at all, it's just not really my preference. :dunno:

IMO, that's one of the best choruses I've heard for a long time.

IMO it sounded pretty generic, I hope the rest of the album is better than the first two tracks or else it's not going to be anywhere near the quality of the first album.

It seems you've used this line to describe at least 7 or 8 albums.   :lol

For Wolfie. A couple of WigWam songs. I like 'em. Glam/KISS type stuff and they are great live.

First two albums are well worth getting. They don't take themselves seriously but they can write a catchy chorus. One of the better Scandi-rock bands.
The first album was originally titled 667... The Neighbour Of The Beast, and they represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest but don't let that put you off! They do an excellent version of Sporty Spice's I Turn To You. A fun band. It will be interesting to see how what Teeny brings to Jorn's band. If he helps write for an album it's likely to be a return to the earlier Jorn solo material like Starfire and Worldchanger.

I too just received it last night and have only listened to it once.  It was okay, but seemed a bit soft.  I think it has potential to be a grower though.

Hmm. I love Jeff's voice, and this is no exception,  but maybe I'm just getting a bit tired of the songwriting style cos it sounds like an outtake from any of the other projects Martensson has worked on in the last couple of years. I don't think the verses flow very well. Maybe it'll grow on me, and I'll certainly be giving the album plenty of chance when it arrives but maybe he's starting to spread himself a bit thin?
Jeff is a star though.
