Very I liked Steve Overlands voice instantly.  So, what album is the best to start with?

Probably the first (Indiscreet) if you like That Girl and the AOR sound. I only have that and Long Time No See which has two albums, Aphrodisiac and Paraphenalia and a live and bonus disc. Got it dirt cheap a few years ago in a closing down sale. Aphro is probably the better of the two. Never been a huge fan tbh but they are worth checking out if you like that sort of thing.

Found a 2cd comp of Indiscreet and Tough it Out which I will order.

Listening to some Russ Ballard now, in such an 80's mood and there is so much great 80's stuff out there that wasn't big.  This Ballard album from 1984 seems damn good too.

I have a couple of the singles from TIO and they are fine. I think Desmond Child was involved on that album.

I only know Russ Ballard from other people covering his songs.

Currently I'm enjoying the Magnum album. Have you got that yet?

I've only listened through the Magnum once and nothing stuck out straight away, needs more spins but sounds promising if you are enjoying it.

I'm going to preorder the Mob Rules also when I order FM, the last Mob Rules album was incredible.

Check out this song Blaze Bayley has done with a guitarist named Chris Declercq, it's pretty incredible IMO.

No, just some random track I think they just collaborated together.  Blaze's latest disc is absolutely nothing like that.

I just got Jimi Jamison - Empires. I've already listened to it a couple of times, and I'm really digging it so far! I wasn't expecting it to be this heavy. It's just the right amount of heavy without turning into generic metal.
Hopefully his new album is just as good.

If you like Too Hot To Sleep, it's worth a listen. Check out "First Day of Love" or "Run From The Thunder" on Youtube. Probably my favourite tracks so far.

Yeah, Empires is pretty good. No Peterik or Frankie Sullivan but it's decent. Not sure about the Baywatch theme though...

Wow, I'm hooked just reading your post Blob.  I love Too Hot To Sleep.  Just saw this video for a band I never heard of on Melodic.net and I digging this song a lot.  The band is called Perfect View.

Yeah, they should have stuck it at the end instead of just when the album is starting to get moving. Admittedly, I like the song though in a cheesy cornball kind of way. :lol

I quite liked that. Might have to check it out.
For me Vital Signs and Too Hot To Sleep are about equal as my favourites. :tup (maybe Too Hot To Sleep slightly ahead because of the heavier sound and better production)

Blob,  I saw Survivor on the "When Seconds Count" Tour.  But I am with you on the Vital Signs and Too Hot Too Sleep as their best albums.  I also love Premonition.

You are right about the sound production on THTS.  I was blown away when I first heard the album.

And Wolf,  I might have to pick this band's album up too.  It sounded great.

Pulled this out yesterday;

Great melodic rock from Australia.  They had a hit single over here with one of the songs but this was their only album.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tT5kDrmlzb8

Also just received these in the mail;

Featuring Frank Vestry, Rob Marcello and Bruno Ravel from Danger Danger.  Prett solid melodic rock in the Danger Danger vein with nice vocals, guitars and production.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7FqMgRvd6E

British melodic rock featuring Tony Mills, solid album with good melodies;

Listening to Serpantine now. Thanks, Wolf..Not really that bad. Love Tony Mills.
Not sure that I could part with any money for this at this time, but I will follow up and sample some more tracks.

How is his stuff with TNT? Can you make any recommendations? Songs or albums?
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

The last album they did was ok. The two previous should be avoided at all costs if you have any musical taste whatsoever (and I know you have!)

No worries.  Like lowdz, I haven't followed TNT for a while, the last few from what I've heard have been pretty bad.

Some prefer Time To Burn to LOTR, but not me. It's a good album, certainly, but I prefer the debut. 3 is a collection of outtakes from the first two and has some good songs that would have made the albums but they sounded too similar to songs they already had on there. It does have my favourite "breakup" song ever in I Can't Let Go. How that didn't make TTB I'll never know. There's something about the part where it gos quiet and Dan sngs "I thought of no-one else but you today..." that gets me. And I'm not usually soppy like that.

If they are the same quality as these than I'll love them.  I only ever owned Promise Land due to Terry Brock and John Roth, but I realise that album was decent but really doesn't compare to this album.  I know Dan helped write some songs on it, but the quality is not like Runaways.

I also remember I'll See You In My Dreams, I'm pretty sure it was a minor hit over here in Austrlia, could be wrong but the chorus pricked my ears immediately.  Seriously one of the best 80's songs ever, and simply one of the most stunning guitar solos ever, and I've only listened to the album once.
