New Album Pre-Order Campaign
Royal Hunt welcomes fans to their FIRST EVER pre-ordering campaign on PledgeMusic.com

We know how many dedicated, loyal fans we have around the world – we´ve met a lot of you at the gigs and meet ‘n’ greets during these 22 years of our band´s existence. We also know that all of you – just like all of us – value high quality music so, in order to maintain our standards on this next release, here’s what we can do:

We’re inviting you to take part in the creation of our new album and offering you an opportunity to pre-order some unique, personalized packages as well as an exclusive access to our “video blog/diary”, interviews with all involved, lots of interaction and participation in various competitions with great prizes otherwise not available elsewhere.

We´re counting on your support and hope that together we´ll be able to release an album we all could be proud of… while having fun making it.

None of the packages get me excited enough to pledge.  Album title is Devil's Dozen.  Hope it doesn't suck as bad as A Life to Die For.  It might be their last chance for me - it's been a steady decline over the last 3 albums.  I really loved X; Show Me How To Live was decent, but short; A Life to Die For was borderline crap.

I think the last Royal Hunt album I bought was Fear with John West on vox -  the last album got some strong reviews but I found over time that they were very prone to having much of their material sound the same.

Yeah I am the same, since JW left I haven't bothered.
Seems like its the same old song album after album.

I really liked X in that it was far more guitar driven than keyboards.  Probably their only album as such.  I'll give it a spin, but RH hasn't never been an automatic buy for me.  I only got into them just before X was released.

Fear was a Lowdz top 50 album. Not been much to write home abbout since. They're never terrible but seldom anything standout. And I prefer JW's voice.

It might just be me but I hear a bit of Message To God in this , which was one of my big faves as a kid.  Decent track for them , but nothing fresh.

That's a by the numbers RH riff. And I really can't stand the vocals. Worst RH singer. Song is ok.

This so much.  DC is such a good vocalist - his early RH work, solo, Silent Force, Amaran's Plight.  What the fuck are he and Anderson doing with his vocals here??  It's terrible.  He's got this twang in his enunciation that is just awful.  Is he getting worse with age, or is it just some intentional effect/style he's actually trying to go for?  If the rest of the album is like this, I don't see me getting it.

Give me early 00s DC anytime.

Agreed... there was one scream towards the end that reminded me why I (normally) love his vocals.  But for the most part, it was tripe.

The song is pleasant enough, but it's the same type of song that RH have done many times already.
Nothing new, same old same old, so I won't be bothering with them again.

The new song they released is a lot better. Not enough to inspire me to make a purchase tho.

I only casually knew of Praying Mantis as they were a part of the NWOBHM.  Their sound is different then the majority of those bands.  Sounds good.

I am having a listen to the upcoming Royal Hunt at the moment - you know exactly what you're going to get with these guys and if you like their sound it's pretty good.  Not much in the way of memorable songs (maybe a couple) and a rating around high 70's (maybe 80 if a couple of tracks grow on me).

I know a few of you guys thought that their last one was awful but I didn't bother to check that out, so I can't make that comparison.

Yeah, I probably won't bother, although I didn't think the new song was as bad as you guys.

I finally got around to getting the new Ten.  Solid, but at the moment, no where near as good as Albion.

Bummer. Both guitarists for Crazy Lixx have left the band, and their future is up in the air. I like em.new Religion was a cracker, and the St was pretty good, if a little samey.
They should get criss Kanye in the band.

Damn. New Religion is one of my favourite recent rock albums, and the ST had gotten them back on track and had several great songs. Losing two guitarists is a big hit to the band. What happened?
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.
