Innerspace
« on: November 06, 2011, 05:24:51 AM »
Just started on ITV ( uk )

Man this film is just so good.

Along with Flight Of The Navigator and Back to the Future ( greatest film of all time ).

Probably my three favourite films of the eighties.

Just outside would be Star Trek 2 .

The eighties had some classics !!!

I saw this in a theater.

I'm old.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Never even heard of it! Just looked it up on IMDB and the plot sounds a lot like Fantastic Voyage.

Robert Picardo is in it? Well, now I definitely have to see it.
Speaking of Star Trek characters, I'm right now watching Moby Dick with Patrick Stewart!

So pretty much the usual?

I'm not gonna lie. I want to see this movie just for him.

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

"Innerspace" is a very good Bruce Dickinson song.

Just a paper bag some times though since she has that weird ability to be cute some times yet haggard at other times moreso than any other celeb I can think of.

So, I got both movies now for tomorrow's flight to Australia. I didn't remember The Flight of the Navigator had Sarah Jessica Parker in it!

One of my all time favorites! Very cool movie. This was filmed when Meg Ryan was at her finest as well IMO. I've always thought that somewhere along the lines with all the technology now there would be a remake of this as well.

Innerspace made now would be a CGI-fest.

It actually won an award for the visual effects and a lot of the footage of the human body was real.

It wouldn't be nowadays. It would be 100% CGI and 3D for the sake of it.

Holy shit I completely forgot that Robert Picardo was "The Cowboy".  Those scenes were absolutely killing me.

Also, yeah it's like a wacky, funny take on the basic "Fantastic Voyage" concept.  More entertainging overall, although the original was pretty good for its time.
