Sounds really awesome.  Might be quite a feat for an Xbox360/PS3 game to end that gen if it really is that much better and detailed than IV because that game set some standards pretty high for GTA.

Imagine if they just decided to leave it at IV and invested all this time into next gen.... The thought of buying a PS4 and not getting a GTA for at least a year and a half really blows.

Speaking of PS4, is there any concrete info on what prices the various versions of it are going to be sold for?

No concrete info, but rumors point to a $299-$399 pricepoint.

Here's the latest info (today

Also, I've never played a GTA game, other than maybe an hour of GTA III a couple years ago.  This game looks amazing.

I'm on PC so i'll have to wait forever for a release but who says they're not investing in next gen? They did delay the release date! And if i know Rockstar correctly they are not the type of company that rush decisions so i'm hoping they are investing this extra time to develope a next gen and PC version. Plz do Rock!  :hefdaddy

The screenshots look amazing. Starting to wish I didn't sell my Xbox because I'm not going to want to wait for a PC release.

With the next gen console coming out shortly, I bet you can pick up a used 360 for dirt cheap.

Jesus H. Christ.  This game, along with the next Gran Turismo and the PS4 release of Final Fantasy, is going to rule (read: ruin) my life

Anyone know if a PS4 bought in the US can be used in Europe?  I am moving to France summer 2014, but I want to buy the PS4 when it comes out.  Any digital rights/barriers issues I should be aware of?

Looks great, but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be enjoyable. IV looked great also, and it was kind of a downer for me.

Here's something that's often puzzled me. Why does this game look so much better despite using the exact same hardware? Console games always work that way. I can understand why Skyrim looks better than Morrowind; built for people with newer, better hardware. Madden would have four or five titles per console, and each one looked quite a bit better than the last. Always made me think they were shortchanging us to improve future longevity.

It's also a completely new engine...

Now why would this look better? Probably a better understanding of how the hardware works, so they're able to get more out of it. And this game looks great, compare to what Rockstar North usually does, but it's not like one of the best looking games you can get.
