This is a question I can definitively answer with a no.  :D

I was really hoping today's announcement would be the thing I previously alluded to, but it's actually...

maybe if her record label allows it, 1 of those houses will be Kimbra's.

That would have been pretty epic, but I have a strong sense that this did not happen.

Coincidentally I'll be arriving in New York the day before this starts hahah. I don't know if I'll be able to do this but it would be really fun.

Got hooked into the band. As I asked somewhere in this thread with where to start, I did go Act IV. But then I wanted to start from the beginning, so I can follow the story along (and get the separate albums). I dig Act I, so I have no doubts this is going to be an awesome journey.

Hopefully I can get through it all before Act VI!

If you dig Act I, Act II and III will make you ejaculate.

That won't be a problem.  Act VI is a long time away.  It's also not going to be an album.  No word on what format it will take, but the strongest rumors seem to be trending towards some form of film.

Just listened through all of the Acts again for the first time in a while and I have confirmed that IV is far and away my favorite. I'd probably rank them as follows though they are all great.

IV
V
III
II
I

Place II above III and I'm with you. IV is my favourite by a good margin too, although I still love V a lot!

III

II

II is great but it has a lot of songs I'm not very keen on.

Just bought Act V because I wanted to listen to them in my car. Really diggin this album because I feel they're a great mix between a bunch of bands I like. It's like you blend Porcupine Tree, Haken, Muse and Keane together and you get The Dear Hunter.  :tup

Keane? As in "Somewhere Only We Know" Keane? Or is there another Keane?

Still hands down my #1 DTF discovery, like it's not even close. They are just flawless as far as I'm concerned. Casey can do no wrong.

Yea some melodies reminded me of them actually, thinking of the album Perfect Symmetry.

very curious, but only a few vague guesses on what this could be for.

Unfortunately I don't have a source for this, but I thought I remember him saying he always had a great connection with the Indigo EP and that he could see himself doing more with that style of music. This could be that.

I think my order would be this, the ones in brackets are at the same level.

{Green, Yellow, Violet} > Blue > {Red, Black, Indigo} > White > Orange.

Tour this Fall with THE FAMILY CREST!!!!!!!!

(no Minnesota date unfortunately for myself and lordixor. I may try and travel though..Chicago or another location. Wife permission may factor-in).

But even I don't, I'm just really happy to see The Family Crest go on tour with them. I really love The Family Crest, and could easily see The Dear Hunter fans enjoying them.
