I think I'll end up ordering this on Amazon along with Act III and IV if I can find them.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Don't think I'm going to be able to resist pre ordering the ultimate edition on vinyl with all the amazing stuff that goes with it. Depends on the postage as well I guess

so what do you think that actually means for Act VI? Honestly, I don't care at the moment. Act V has my full attention. I ended up getting the ultimate vinyl bundle. Pricey but honestly I've never done this kind of thing before and I think it would be awesome to do it for once for my favorite band. Plus it comes with the Act I graphic novel

Yea, the graphic novel kind of did it for me too, need to wait for pay day before ordering though  :sadpanda:

Good question.  I wouldn't be surprised if Casey himself doesn't even know yet.  Maybe some sort of epilogue?  Maybe something completely different.  I guess time will tell...

Improvised performance art?  Perhaps a mime album?

Casey can take as long of a break as he needs. It's well deserved. I'm sure Act V will be as amazing as the others. He has worked his ass off.

I hadn't even noticed that. That's awesome. Not enough to make me want to get the ultimate bundle I think, but I would definitely splash out on a full Acts 1-6 graphic novel further down the line!

could Act VI be a Symphony?

also I was just reminded how Act V is released the same day, September 9th, as the new Marillion album, lol.

Wow, this was fast! I've gotten into this band pretty recently and still haven't properly absorbed Acts III and IV, so now I guess I need to get on that!

Dude...The Flame (Is Gone) & The Fire (Remains)??  That right there has me super excited already.

Love this.

ACT VI could very well be a symphony, we will see, in time.

Just bought VIP tickets for the Atlanta show, What the fuck Luke so much for saving your money.

Act V: last "rock" album

Act VI: first "bluegrass" album

Maybe I'm just dumb...what's the deal with the VIP tickets?  Do you get access to that with buying one of the pre-order bundles?

Screw it, I went ahead and ordered the ultimate vinyl bundle, £86 including shipping to the UK. Don't even regret it a little bit. I made a vow to try to really support the bands I really love. The Dear Hunter are right up there for me and as a band who i think are criminally overlooked they deserve all the money they can get.

Am I the only one who has listened to Gloria once and won't listen to it again now until the album drops? I want to hear it properly in the context of the album and definitely don't want to have overplayed it by the time I get the album, that would kill the experience for me.

If they come to Europe, I'm not missing them this time. This Act wrap-up tour seems too good to pass up and I might not have the chance to see them ever again. I'll be traveling wherever I need to travel since I doubt they'll be coming to Spain.

Dammit. Some of those box sets look really cool, but are coming out the same time as I'm irresponsibly chasing Haken around 2 countries and going to a festival.

They're a completely separate thing.  The tickets for the Webster Hall show are just being weird right now.  I managed to get VIP tickets after like 5 tries and 10 different weird error messages.  I don't know why it keeps saying tickets are not available.

NYC show is the same night as Opeth.  Who schedules these things??  Didn't get an Opeth ticket yet, so TDH it is.

You've made the correct choice.

It's a Saturday too, so I anticipate pre-show festivities.  Maybe I can rope in a few of the guys to join us for drinks again.

Very impressed with Gloria, and Light was lovely when he played it live on the most recent tour. Considering how incredible Act IV was it's hard not to have very high expectations here, but with it coming soon I'll try to temper my excitement :lol
