I tried to find a thread for this show but it seems like no one has started one, so here we go.

I really hope I can attend this show. It's pretty close to where I live (Karlsruhe), and I can't wait to hear the new material live! The only problem I might run in to is that there are no trains going back to Karlsruhe that night or that I won't have anyone to go with. Not the most important thing, but it makes it more fun to share the experience :)

Anyone else going to this show?

Great!

Have you ever been to a concert in Liederhalle before? If so, is it a good venue for concerts?

Let's say it's a strange venue for Metal concerts  but has a great acoustic and it will be perfect for me since i will be at the very front in Offenbach and will sit in Stuttgart. Offenbach is way better for standing, since the venue is very wide and rather short, so even if you are on the back you are not far away from the stage.

I'll probably stand in Stuttgart, since I'm not sure if I have anyone to go with yet, but I still want to get my ticket now so I know for sure that I won't miss it :) That way, if I get someone to go along, they can also just get stehplatz.

Not sure if this has already been posted anywhere else, but the date of the concert has been changed. Please see following article:

I`m going:)

Thinking about getting a Meet & Greet ticket because i`m celebrating my 20th year as a DT fan and I have a new JPX (with roasted neck) that i`d love to get signed by JP.
Any of you have any experience from these M&G`s? I see two problems: 1. I would not be able to bring anything to get signed other than whats in the M&G package. 2. I`m not allowed to leave the venue after the M&G to put my guitar in my car.
Any help would be appreciated as I think the package is kinda expensive...

Cheers,

Tommy

Not even a week left now! I will be travelling from Karlsruhe sometime during the day and seeing parts of the city if the weather allows. Does anyone want to meet up for a drink before the show?

I will be driving from FFM. Is there any place near the venue to have a couple of beers? I'll try to get  there as early as I can.

I'm not sure, it will be my first time visiting Stuttgart, but it's Germany, so I assume the bar density is quite high. We could always decide on a time and place that is easy to find and see where it takes us.

Does anyone know the stagetimes for Periphery and DT? 19:30 and 20.30?

Periphery should start at 19:30 and Dream Theater at 20:40

Nofire and I will meet at the entrance at 16:15 and have a beer (or more  ;)).

Sent you a PM. About your question about M&G. In Offenbach we had time to get back to the car and leave our stuff there. There were at least 2 people with guitars to be signed by JP.

Got your PM :) Thanks for the show times!
I decided not to get the M&G this time which i`m kinda bummed about...
Looking forward to the gig. Only a few hours now....
I`m a guitar teacher so I will be using my JPX all day long and probably try to talk some students into learning DT songs today!

I was hoping for set list B since I got A in Offenbach but. Nevertheless it was a blast! :metal

James performance was even better than in Offenbach. Now I'm thinking of maybe Luxenburg... I should have gotten the ticket for life...

I was also hoping for setlist B, but still a superb concert!
Mike M looked like a kid that got his life`s biggest dream fulfilled. Non stop smiling
To me it seemed like they are playing A fortune in lies quite fast these days... James was in a good mood it seemed and made more jokes than I can remember from past concerts.
There was an older guy in front of me that had a recording device in his jacket pocket during the gig, so i`m sure we`ll have a bootleg soon:)
Last but not least, Fuck You to the guy in front of me that farted  all the time  :censored

Here are some of my pictures from the show. Not the best quality but better than nothing. I can only add to the praises and agree that the show was spectacular! Thanks also to Serrano for good company :)
