A DVD from the Black Clouds & Silver Linings tour would be well appreciated.

Let's see what the other regulars of this thread think about that. I could upload the two Luna Park shows of 2010...

That'd be cool. I'd love to hear a good live version of the BC&SL live songs.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

A bit shaky and not razor sharp, but overall fine and enjoyable.

I just purchased 50GB of storage on Sky Drive, so this thread will definitely be around for quite some time.

Tomorrow I'll likely start uploading the DVD. Actually, I have the one DVD version wich consists of the bulk of the two nights without the repeats (ANTR and Count) and the extended edition with the full 2 nights, but coming as 4 AVI files, and not the in the standard DVD .VOB encoding. Your decision.

Do you mean audio? I don't know if I have it, I need to check my library...

ETA: You're very lucky! I have it, but it's mp3 sourced (there doesn't exist a lossless source of the bootleg). I hope it's ok with you...

Most likely you're talking of .IFO and .VOB formats. It's the standard way to encode a video stream in a DVD format, with chapter and all. to reproduce it you just have to open the file VIDEO_TS.IFO with your default player, like Windows Media Player or VLC. Don't worry, it's supported  :tup

Well, the most important thing for me is the audio, so if I could decide, I'd go with that, but it's obviously your call.

They are both audio and video! It's basically the same thing, only that editing the two nights in a single DVD the two repeated songs were left out. If you like to listen and watch them as well, I have them, but the whole thing will come as loose files, not as a proper DVD.

How big is the single DVD? 'Cause if it's anything over 1.5 GB I'd really much prefer the audio, because of my lame-ass internet.

90% of the DVDs are in the 4.0-4.37 range, to fit in the medium. This is one of them. Still, I will upload the audio as well, don't worry.  :tup

Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I don't have a problem with that, 'cause that vastly speeds up the download and I'm perfectly content with the sound that MP3s from 192kB/s upward are capable of presenting.

Nevermind. I got confused. I'm uploading the 4 AVI Files with ANTR missing from the second performance. Everything else is there, from both nights.

Same thing, it re-routes it to an adress under 127.0.0.1, which doesn't really make sense, as that is localhost, but whatever. I'll just download it later when I'm back home (I'm assuming you leave it up, of course).

Thanks wasteland for sharing the audio-only files of both shows.

@Scorpion:

Strange you have problems downloading it.
There's just one requisite - to have an account.

I have an account, and it has worked perfectly for me when I was at home, where I download the Wallingford and the Penn State bootleg, so clearly that isn't the issue. I'm guessing that it really is the firewall of my school's internet, but don't sweat it. I'll be home again in three weeks anyway and I can definitely wait that long.  :tup
