Civ 5 rocks. I played it almost constantly for a week after I bought it.
Despite all the crap it gets from the hardcore Civ fans, I really, really like Civ 5.

Has there been any mention of Ouya around here? Check it out: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ouya/ouya-a-new-kind-of-video-game-console

This thing has been up for 2 or 3 days and has already amassed 4.2 MILLION, and is still rising! It looks like a pretty interesting idea, but I don't know if it'll fly. Only time will tell I guess.

Got Deus Ex: HR today from the Steam sale...Awesome. Played it for a good three hours straight (and I'd keep going easily, but I have to work early).

Oh, and I got Rainbow Six 3 Gold. The last of the good R6's, IMO.

That looks cool. And a cheap console with games that are free to try is a win-win in my book.

I was debating posting this myself. Seems like an awesome idea. And obviously it's also a popular one. I love kickstarter.

They're raising a disturbing amount of money with that thing. I really hope it succeeds. Still deciding if I should just fork up the $100 now to have one guaranteed or wait for some more information/confirmation that it's awesome.

It's a turn based strategy. I haven't played a Civ game since the original so I don't how close the comparison is, but some people I know have compared it to Civilization with a diplomacy system that doesn't work and much more of a combat focus. The demo was fun. Reminds me a bit of Age of Wonders, if you could only have one unit per hex and every fight was auto completed.

Apparently this interested me last night or something, because I woke up with Warlock bought and installed, listed under it's own category "dont forget you bought this".

Well, I forgot, so thanks for reminding me drunk sigz.

Played Warlock, it was really fun. My shitass graphics card had trouble with it, and the interface is a kinda clunky, but still really cool. I can see myself sinking a lot of time into it.

Also, I grabbed Spacechem when it was the flash deal. Holy hell is it good. Easily the most rewarding puzzle game I've played in a while.

Picked up the Max Payne bundle with 1 and 2 so when I get 3 for my 360 I'm caught up with the story, bought a Ghost Recon game, and got the Tribes: Ascend Starter pack.

Got From Dust for $3 bucks. Fun game with some cool graphics. Sort of a simulation/terraforming game with an excellent storyline. Totally worth it and super cheap too.

Most of your weapon choices don't matter, but stock up on EMP grenades.

Yes, EMPs are very useful. Weapon choice is all dependant on how you play the game.

Yes.  I played for a few days, but I got tired of the terrible game engine, coding, and zombie AI.  The game nailed the atmosphere, though, and it would seriously be one of the best games ever if it was 100 times more polished.  Reportedly, the mod is already good to go for ArmA III, and that game looks like a huge improvement from ArmA II.

It really is one of the jankiest games around but man, is it compelling. The potential is there for something really great. I've only had it for a few days but I'm still enjoying it.

For sure, the core gameplay is amazing and, frankly, revolutionary for the zombie/survival genre.

Grabbed the Tribes starter pack, mainly cause I wanted the soldier's spinfusor and didn't feel like grinding with the assault rifle for a week to get it.

Played some more Warlock, I'm really liking it now. I wish the UI wasn't as clunky, but beyond that it's great.

Also played some EYE: Divine Cybermancy yesterday, which I grabbed ages ago when it was on sale and never really touched. It's a very, very strange game.

And SpaceChem is addictive as shit.

Damn, and here I was betting they'd do BC3 before BF4.

The bf3 DLC is scheduled to be released through the rest of the year. And into early 2013, I wouldn't expect BF4 before then.

Picked up Civ 5. Never really finished mastering Civ 4 because I never had the patience to pay that much attention to micromanaging my cities. Hope Civ 5 is different.

That looks cool. And a cheap console with games that are free to try is a win-win in my book.

See, that was my main problem with OUYA.  The first thing I heard was that it would mandate the free-to-play model, which I absolutely hated.  I think the free-to-play model (i.e. "here's a tiny shell of a game, if you want cool stuff that's 99 cents, or you can just skip the game and go right to the end credits for $4.99") is killing gaming.

I was relieved when I found out that the required "free" thing could just be a demo.  Anyway, it seems like a stellar idea, and I'd give but it doesn't really seem like they need my help. :lol

Anyway, I'm thinking of picking up Blocks That Matter.

EDIT:  Also, make sure to grab The Binding of Isaac on Steam if you haven't yet.  It's frustratingly cheap and it's definitely the best value for my dollar I've ever gotten in gaming.  I've put ~53 hours into it so far, and that doesn't seem to be slowing down.

EDIT2:  Yep, got Blocks That Matter and Gish (the latter because it was $2.49 and I'm on a bit of an Edmund McMillen trip at the moment).
