Help me fill a void in the robot vs squid apparel market!
« on: August 26, 2011, 05:24:04 PM »
Yes this is shameless self promoting spam, but don't you know who I am? haha. Just kidding.

That said, I'm hoping the prog/DTF community would consider helping me out with some votes on threadless.com?

I have a t-shirt that's open for voting for the next 7 days and every vote counts! If you feel so inclined I would be eternally grateful if you could throw a vote my way and maybe get your friends to vote. And their friends. And so on.

Thanks!

salty

Here's the link to the shirt - Every vote of 5 helps get my average up! - https://www.threadless.com/submission/365592/Robot_vs_Giant_Squid

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Help him out, guys!
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Hey guys thanks for the kind words!

I think signing in via Facebook is probably the least intrusive way, once you've voted I think you can just un-allow Threadless Tees on your FB account...though I'm not sure.

Thanks for any votes you can help generate though!

I would buy the shit out of that shirt.

Edit: And speaking of which, once we've made an account and voted for said shirt, is there a way to buy it?  I can't see any button or option or anything on the link you gave.

It'll only be made available to purchase if it proves popular enough!

It has six days left for voting. The more votes, the more popular threadless see it is, the more likely they'll pick it up and print it.

It's basically a popularity contest.

Thanks for your votes!

I voted a 5.  What rating/how many votes would you need for them to pick it up?

I'm not exactly sure. The more 5s the better I'd guess though.

I found a thread on the site forums asking the same question and it seems to be that it comes down to threadless themselves to decide on what gets printed in the end, but the more popular the design the more likely they are to pick it up.

Just voted. I actually signed up to the site, which proved to be more painful than expected. :lol

But I voted you a 5. :tup

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Average 2.98 from 192 votes. Need more 5s! hah.

I'm gonna lay low for a couple of days with it and then hit the twitter/FB attack again.

Appreciate any retweets or passing on of the word. Twitter - @saltmarsh
