Apparently it's going to disrupt MLG Raleigh this weekend. That's all I really care about.

It's going to hit east NC, then go up and hit NY and all of the states above it.

Near where I live in NY, we're going to get 60 MPH winds, supposedly.

Well, I wish you Easterners the best, in terms of your making it through the incoming storm okay.

I sincerely hope you people from that side of the continent remain in good health and morale.

Next thing you know we're going to have to deal with earthquakes too.

That's more likely to be a problem that'd kill me off, Easterner.

But seriously, is it still a cat 1 hurricane? If it is, don't expect there to be much damage.

It's a category 4.  It'll be category 2 by the time that it hits New England.  They're talking about it being one of the biggest hurricanes to hit the entire coast, but it won't really do much damage other than power outages and blowing things around at several miles per hour.

Hugo (1989), Marilyn (1995), Hortense (1996), Georges (1998), Jeanne (2004), Irene (2011)

And those are just the ones that have touched land while I've been alive.

^Hey re-re I didn't list Andrew(1992), Lili(2002), or Rita(2005 RIGHT on the heels of Katrina) because I didn't evacuate for those despite their Louisianian landfalls. I win 7-6. Or 8-6 if Irene doesn't stand me up.

We have reggaeton here 24/7. Far more destructive and obnoxious than any of those hurricanes.

What is reggaeton, and how does it differ from reggae without the ton?

Should shake and I start comparing earthquakes we have survived? LOL

seriously though I didn't even know about this untill last night when I was giving my friend from the east coast shit for the earthquake....

I love the fact that the only affects hurricanes have on us out here are some drizzle from them raping texas... or Mexico
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Hmm, that reggae tune, Buffalo Soldier, is very swell.

And my feelings about that reggaeton still stand firmly, namely my feeling that it sucks.
