Easily Kirk, though I have nothing against Picard.

A couple of things to throw out there.  Kirk in the 24th century was genuinely legendary.  It says something that Sisko committed a felony just to get his autograph.  Picard would have been well respected, but I don't see him commanding the same sense of awe that Kirk did a hundred years later.

Picard got to hide behind regs that prevented him from going on the majority of away missions.  If Kirk didn't beam down, it was only because it was to an unpleasant place without any girls.  In TNG,  Riker got to be the action hero while Picard sat at home and asked him for trip reports.

Kirk was no less skillful in the qualities that make Picard a badass--which he is.  Kirk could negotiate with anybody.  He could bluff his way out of any situation.  He was perfectly willing to blow the Enterprise to bits if the situation called for it.  Actually,  this is an interesting notion.  What is a quality that Picard possesses that Kirk doesn't?

Lastly,  I'm sure I can't be the only person who gets annoyed that every single pole or survey here has to have a joke option thrown in to skew the results.  I'm cool with Bosk and all,  but I'd like to have seen those 8 votes count towards one of the real options.

I agree with everything El Barto just said.  Kirk, for all those reasons.

Picard, but I voted Sisko because I'm such a DS9 homer.

HEY I like Janeway....

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I honestly had trouble picking between Picard and Sisco. A lot has to do with the fact that I believe DS9 to be the best of all the Star Trek series.

I really want to see it, but haven't yet. I read an interview with Shatner about it, and it sounds pretty interesting, especially that it covers every Trek captain, and not just Kirk.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

They are both awesome.  But I would vote for Picard.

Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Crusher too (USS Pasteur). And Data as well (in that episode where Tasha Yar is a Romulan).

I just finished watching it, and well it's kinda of a let down.

It feel disjointed and a lot of is Shatner saying basically asking the other captains to tell him how awesome he is.

However, it was nice to see them all again, Patrick was great as well as Kate. Avery is a weird dude who seems like he is high on something.

If you're really into Trek, check it out, otherwise pass.

I'm a big Trek fan, so I'd watch it just for the chance to see them talking about Trek. I'll even enjoy it if it is just Shatner talking about himself. :lol

bosk all the way, for the following reasons:

1. I can kick his a**
2. He can't talk his way around me, because I speak legal mumbo jumbo too
3. I can ban him at BdR and he can ban me at DTF, so that is canceled out
4. His love of not-so-good albums would rally most on the ship to my cause.

Winner.

In all seriousness, I prefer Picard over them all, although I am a big fan of the underrated Sisko and Kirk is great. I love how all three have different styles. Sisko is the middle ground between the two.
