I've seen it theorised that the doomed timeline that we might be in at the moment is abusing the God Tier mechanic to quickly kill everyone off, as it has been established that a doomed timeline is wont to do.

If I remember correctly, the denizens help sway godtier deaths and even just batttles in their favor. In doomed timelines, they do nothing, so the world is unforgiving.

So we've got our answer on the whole heroic shebang. Thanks, Hussie.

Indeed! It's strange to think that he used to do this sort of thing all the time. Remember the recaps? It was a different time back then.

Really good update. So good.
This actually has me believing we might not be in a doomed timeline. It’s like the readers are Roxy, just ready to give up. But maybe there is something that can be done. Maybe.
Also I JUST WANT TO HIGH FIVE TEREZI.

Terezi Pyrope: STILL NOT DEAD

Also this update was great. Finally some pesterlogs, a bit of humor, ROXY, a bit of hope, and Terezi somehow continuing to push on. This is fucking awesome.

Urgh. I love some of the insight that the MSPA Forums can bring and there is some legitamitely cool peeps there, but it's hard to take it seriously when people spend four pages debating whether the headbutt is proof of the double standard of abuse in Homestuck can make you headdesk pretty quickly.

Oh yeah, and cool update too, I suppose. Terezi is amazing. She has now survived being brutally attacked by Gamzee, being stabbed through her torso, being slammed into stone so hard that it broke, the collision of two small planets and now the explosion of a rocket device strapped to her back. AND SHE'S STILL GOING.

Guys, I think Gamzee might have been onto something with the wickedness of Faygo. :P

Yeah, some of the "controversies" there can be really silly. In fact, I'm pretty sure those kinds of people are why Hussie bailed on Tumblr entirely (well also I'm pretty sure he hated it anyway :P ). Some of the discussions are interesting, and I just skip past the rest of 'em.

So here's a question. People are saying that alternate Calliope confirmed John's death, but how can that really be? I mean, wouldn't she only have knowledge of a hypothetical alternate John in her timeline?

Well, it's certainly possible for our John to jump to a doomed timeline (or at least it hasn't been stated that he can't), but then that would be a retcon and thus by definition not reality until John performs it, so yeah, I think you're right there.

Also YES DENIZENS. Do you think they'll go to Typheus or to Nyx?

I'd guess it'd be Typheus. Perhaps we'll find out tonight!

Also, crossposting a rant from my Tumblr:

Seriously though. What’s up with John? Is this really just how Hussie writes him? He always seems really apathetic and out of it. He’s just blah about everything. Rose dead? :( Jade dead? Oh. Dave dead? Darn. Karkat dead? May he rest in piece. Wtf. He’s just taking whatever happens to him without much of a reaction, like a bedroom starfish. He’s acting like a plot starfish. Is he depressed or something? Gosh.

I feel like when faced with that sort of disaster, just completely disconnecting from it is a pretty normal reaction. It's also possible he just doesn't know how to deal with grief, with his dad, he just bottled it up.

Another thing I've heard is that it may be an affect of his retcon power, that he's unstuck from reality in more than one sense.

The glitched Typheus panel is badass. Still don't know what's going to happen. The updates need to come quicker.

It's amazing to see things like the personal quests becoming important again. I know Andrew talked ages ago about how a lot of those things were in his initial idea for HS, but got pushed aside as other things developed. It kind of makes me wonder what else will become relevant again. Maybe we'll finally see an actual fraymotif in action???

Soooo... confirmation that the Game Over timeline is doomed! Yay!

Cool update. Loving the callbacks to earlier HS. I concur with SN, we need to see a fraymotif in action (well, beyond that Adagio Redshift part, which was like one page).

It's almost time for the latest hiatus to end. I've been thoroughly enjoying Summer Teen Romance over at Paradox Space.

I have read exactly none of it, I'm planning on binging the whole thing once it's finished.  :caffeine:

Also I've been having a lot of fun watching people's reaction videos on YouTube, and I've been considering doing some of my own for all the remaining updates. I don't know if I'll post 'em or anything, but they'll be cool to have for posterity. If you guys do it too, though, we could make it a Thing. :lol

I've thought about doing that in the past, but I usually don't really have much reaction or understand what's going on at first. It usually takes me a while if something big happens. lol

But I want to post Homestuck things that have happened in my life since I last posted here. Hm. Since November...

Mainly I just went to Katsucon and Anime Detour to cosplay some Homestuck trash. Met Sintheros at Katsu for the first time too. Here are some pics.

Obviously I'm the Sollux in the first pic. Other than that, I've commission a bunch of fan artists and have their art hanging on my wall. I bought a John figurine from the What Pumpkin booth, and that's about it!

Indeed! Happy 4/13! I'll save you all from the headache of me quirking in my posts.

Here's something interesting about Homestuck fans. Through my experiences, you're almost always only two degrees from anyone else in the fandom. If you don't know someone, you know someone who knows someone. That includes everything from normal fans all the way to Hussie himself. Situations keep coming up where random people I meet have some strange connection to me too, like a mutual friend. It's crazy.

Well, you're going to have to deal with it. It's not easily reversible like Dream Theater Day. :P

It's hard to believe that it's been this long. I'm pretty sure I said the same thing only a page or two back in the thread, but wow. This is my 4th 4/13. The comic has changed my life so much...it's kind of sad yet fascinating.

Oh to have been along for the ride from the start. How awesome that would have been.
