People need to stop shitting on that album.

You're right. 10 standard 3 chorus songs and a song that cuts out right when you think the epic is coming makes for a great fucking album.
Yeah, how dare people like music that follows the standard conventions and structure of song writing in this day and age. Absolutely appalling.

I really don't know but I hope it leads up to an album announcement.  Judging by the greatness of "Iron Fist" I'm already excited for the next album.

I still think it's just teasers for an announcement for a new album.

Listening to Second Stage for the fourth time this week (on a huge Coheed kick AGAIN). I love that first part where Claudio's voice REALLY kicks in during Time Consumer.

About three days ago I was up at three in the morning. Forgot to turn shuffle on and listened to Good Apollo Vol. I, Vol. II and Year Of The Black Rainbow straight through in that order. And then it hits me; this is currently the band I go to when I can't decide what I want to listen to. And that's just awesome. It's all good no matter what mood I'm in. I still think YotBR is kind of weak (it's growing a little, though), and I still can't get into SSTB, but oh well. I might listen to both SSTB and IKSoSE:3 later just for the hell of it.

Those are the two best albums, so good choice!

SSTB gets better each time I listen to it. It used to be my least favorite, then it overtook YOTBR, and now GA2 is in danger.

Listened to the album again earlier today like I said I would. "Time Consumer" and "Devil In Jersey City" have definitely grown on me but the rest of the album still does nothing. I bought it in 2007, have listened to it plenty of times, and I still couldn't even tell you which song was which. Oh well. On to In Keeping Secrets...

Honestly, sometimes I think GA1 is the only album I can successfully rate, because it's my favourite Coheed album and one of my all time favourite albums ever. The rest just kind of kick each other in the shins in order to be named my second favourite. Yes even YOTBR. Shut up.

97% of active bands would kill to be able to make an album as good as YOTBR.  And its not even close to Coheed's best.  They really haven't done any wrong.  5 albums with only a slight dip in quality after the third?  That's something special.

Which speaks volumes to how good the band has been and how much great music they've done in ten short years.

Wish the stream quality was better, but the song sounds good.  Love Claudio's vocals!

The stream changes according to your internet connection, it could still be a better stream though.

The song sounds very good!

I'm wondering if this was meant to be ironic or the author actually thought it would be cool to call them "prog-core."

Also, the new song is a bit dull, but it's not too bad.

I thought all the stuff Claudio was doing with his voice was cool, but the music wasn't awe-inspiring.  Still, this and "Iron Fist" make me excited for a new album.
