Izz

I did a search, but it's hard to find this band's name on the forum, due to it being a short name and being included in longer words...

They remind me of Porcupine Tree in some of their work. 'The Darkened Room' is my album recommendation to anyone interested.

I love this band. I still like their first couple albums, Sliver of a Sun and I Move, more than their last two, but all of their albums are good. The influence of Yes, King Crimson, The Beatles, ELP, Pink Floyd, Genesis, etc. is apparent at times in their songs, but they still somehow have a very unique sound. The guitarist Paul Bremner is awesome.

Fantastic band. I Move is one of my favorite albums, and any prog fan MUST check it out.

Great band! Would LOVE to see them live one day! This live CD from Nearfest rocks, especially the long instrumental parts.  :tup

Yet another band I've been neglecting.

I've seen them twice.

I've got Sliver of Sun and I Move, but it's been almost a year since I've listened to them.

For what it's worth, they are playing the New Jersey Proghouse in a few hours...

Well, given the last post, no better time to bump this than now.

They just released a new album, Everlasting Instant, and are playing NJ ProgHouse on Sunday, April 19th. I plan on attending.

Yeah. Record release party. I'm seriously considering this but Sunday is a factor and the tax return hasn't shown up yet.

Still recovering from a hectic weekend, but these guys definitely give fans their money's worth if given the chance. I'll have to double check, but I think the show on Sunday was ~2.5 hours.

So I've heard a bit about this band, and I've checked out the first couple of tracks on their 2019 album, Don't Panic, on YouTube. So far, I'm digging what I'm hearing, but as I've gotten older, I find it a bit more difficult for me to invest time and effort into getting into a new band.

Any fans here that can suggest essential IZZ listening, i.e. best songs or albums, that I can check out? Would love to hear what fans of the band have to say about their music! Thanks!

-Marc.
