Bike stolen =suxor
« on: June 18, 2011, 08:33:30 PM »
Went to the airport today to sort something out about my ticket, come back to the subway station, gone.

Aargh, and it was a nice one too (probably why they took it)

I'm sorry Rumbo.  It makes me sick reading stuff like this.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'.” - Bob Newhart
So wait, we're spelling it wrong and king is spelling it right? What is going on here? :lol -- BlobVanDam

Sorry to hear that. After having two bikes stolen in a 3-year period I now use a chain I purchased from Home Depot(cut by the length from that chain /rope area) with a Master Lock combination lock that I make sure is fed around the frame and the front tire. I guess they could steal my back tire but I've been lucky so far and I fucking hate the people that stole yours already because riding a bike still sucks any way. Why the fuck wouldn't these dregs steal something that at least gives them an easier day-to-day life right?

Sorry to hear, but if you didn't have it locked up at a bike rack, you were kinda asking for it. Of course, if it was locked up, you're probably not the only unlucky fellow.

It was locked with a chain to the bike stand. But, my stance has always been, if someone wants your bike he'll get it, unless you weld it to the bike stand.

Come on now Rumbo, you don't think any welder ever stole a bike?

Or take one of the tires off and take it with you everywhere, ala Andy in 40-Year Old Virgin.

I think that's really the only sane way you can look at it.  But, yeah, sucks that we live in a world where people can't have more respect for other people and not take their stuff.
