Where did you find that logo? Is that an alternate jersey logo? You'd figure that it should be used on a full-time basis. Still no hockey stick though.

i've seen them wear it quite a few times but i'm not sure which jersey it is. may be the third, but it doesn't matter now, they are going gatorade full time from what i uderstand.

also, hockey stick doesn't matter, majority of the teams don't have it on their logo.

The fact that the majority of teams don't have it essentially proves my point:

The Islanders logo is awesome!

There isn't a logo in the entire league and possibly all of sports that depicts what the team is about and its position in its community.

It's too bad that I could only have about three years left to enjoy it.

I don't think there's any ambiguity about what sport we play :)

You're right, that is pretty clear.

But I don't see any reference to Pittsburgh or even Pennsylvania.

That's Pittsburgh, but I don't have any idea what that has to do with the aforementioned logo. ;)

I have no other way to hint stronger that the triangle in the logo is modeled after the triangle formed at the point.

Except the point in the picture would form an isosceles triangle and the triangle in the logo is an equilibrium triangle.

At least they didn't return to these

Although I must admit I like the fisherman logo. Sue me.

And speaking of bad new uniforms, is anybody else pissed at the Kings new uniforms?

Not only are they ditching the the rockin purple (you know the color that TIES IN WITH THE NAME) for a boring black and white setup, the logo also now makes me think of baseball. Bravo Kings management.

I'm very opinionated when it comes to sports aesthetics.

Another foot has washed ashore in Vancouver, and this one was encased in a hockey skate. Law enforcement feel they've finally solved the case as to where the Sedin twins went during the Stanley Cup final. Extensive forensic research will be required to determine which Sedin twin's foot they've located. Scientists have said identification may be difficult as the foot and skate have been burned slightly.

I'm sure Giroux is tickled pink over this one.

More divisiveness in the Philly lockerroom.
