I couldn't see why not. Even the scaffolding is there. That seems overkill for a quick shoop.

Even if it's not, it's still a neat picture. The woman standing underneath doesn't look like the kind of person who would have anything to do with building that, though. :D

Ack this is driving me nuts. I saw this recently but I can't for the life of me find the link where I saw it. There are more, though, and apparently they're going to museums or something?

Giant Transformers sculptures made from recycled automobile and truck parts will be rolled out at Ripley’s Believe It or Not locations around the world this summer.

The Autobot art pieces, which come in 19-foot-tall and 8-foot tall versions, are being created by Thailand-based artist Anchalee Saengtai for England’s famous freak show.

I'm glad these pieces of art are getting their rightfully deserved recognition but there are dozens of places better-fitting than Ripley's Believe it or Not.

Would anyone ever have a reason to not believe that the cartoon/movies existed?

Oddly enough it looks better than the one in the movies.

Oh you!

I agree though.  CG has come a long way, but there's still nothing like physical presence.  Something actually built out of metal looks like it's made of metal.  CGI can look okay if things are moving quickly and things are blowing up and there's a heavy metal soundtrack to distract you, but when the close-ups and stills come, it can still look like shit.

Well I just meant it looks a bit thinner and more defined, as opposed to the movie robots who look way too huge (which is unfortunately necessary if you want to make the transforming plausible).
