I’m looking for movies similar to the following…

The Fountain
What Dreams May Come
Eternal Sunshine of the spotless Mind
Enter the Void
Inception

Emphasis on dreams, spirituality, death, memories, etc.

Any good suggestions? I'd appreciate it.

Hmm. Well. I've got one sort of similar. It's very psychological. And sooorta deals with death and memories if you look at it that way. The ending is kind of left to interpretation. It's very good though.

Session 9. I will warn you, it takes quite a while for things to really get going. It's kind of slow, but it works well. All that build up is needed. I know some people don't have the patience for it. But it's really good. And the people that actually watched the whole thing loved it. There's a moment where you'll pretty much suddenly be very interested because shit gets real. Though some are interested through out.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Point is, Session 9. Fantastic movie that's sorta in the realm of what you want. Strongly recommended.

Check out Dreamscape with Dennis Quaid. It's an 80's movie version of Inception but has different rules. Also check out The Prophecy with Christopher Walken.

The Machinist.  One of my favorites.  Same director as the aforementioned Session 9, which is also one of my favorite horror movies.

Anti-christ.  Viewer discretion advised.  Very surreal and awesomely twisted movie.

Did you mean the Butterfly Effect?  If so, that's the first one that came to my mind.

I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

Vanilla Sky...it's decent, could be better if Tom Cruise wasn't the lead.  Same with Eyes Wide Shut.

Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

The Lovely Bones could fit the bill. About a girl who is murdered and tries to help her family find her killer. Lots of dreamy afterlife sequences.

To second what was said earlier, seeing "dream-like/spiritual" made me think of Waking Life immediately.  Beautiful, thought-provoking movie with some of the best film music ever.

To be fair, proper names that begin with "the" should have the word "the" capitalized to avoid confusion.

Carry on...

I have a new suggestion. Rubber. Just watch it. Don't look up anything about it. Just trust me.

It's not technically spiritual or anything. But if you force some meaning and symbolism and interpretation, it can be a very heady, intellectual, artistic film.

But it's fucking fantastic. I almost ragequit at the amount of fuck on film. Just. God damn. Everyone needs to watch it. Everyone ever.
