I think that he will maybe come over with another band and open for them. I feel that's more likely. Maybe he'll open for Anathema's fall tour (if it still happens), or perhaps he'll wait until PT tours again and be his own opening act.

I haven't heard anything like that, although SW did say that there is a drummer on this album that will "blow us away".

I'd like to see Gavin though, Gavin works well on PT/SW projects.

How did I miss this? I was even more impressed with Minnemann than with Mangini - this would be the perfect outcome to the auditions, for me. My two favourite drummers from the process end up collaborating with my two favourite artists.

Pinch of salt, of course. Part of me thinks that if Minnemann was too zany for DT he'll blow SW away, but the man's surely got a dial - if he's not SW's drummer (and chances are he isn't!) that won't be the reason why.

Very unlikely, but my favourite new rumour.

Has SW ever toured with his solo/BC stuff?  I can't imagine it being a terrifically exciting concert.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. Bass Communion has done shows but SW has never played his solo stuff live, unfortunately.

I was on Marco Minnemman's facebook and some guy posted this;

"It was a pleasure meeting you at El Rey last night, hope you enjoyed Blackfield. Can't wait for the new project with Steve Wilson"

Added to that, one of my mates who is a massive Wilson fan said said that he has heard that he will be touring the east coast in October/Nov.
Not sure where he heard this, but i'll ask the next time I see him.

Since the album is already done with another drummer I thought the only other thing it can be is a tour.

i've been on an Insurgentes kick as well lately. the album + all the non-remix b-sides = just amazing stuff, especially the demo of "Veneno Para Las Hadas."

must say i'm glad "Puncture Wound" wasn't included on the main album; great song, but pretty much a direct ripoff of The Cure (i think), and the songs "Significant Other" and "Only Child" already carry a very similar vibe, imo.

He did, it's on one of the Cover-Versions.

Thanks to Zack I discovered/finally got "Vapour Trail Lullaby", and I'm just blown away.
The BF-song has always been one of my favorites, and this version just takes that version to a whole new level.  :hefdaddy :hefdaddy
