This thread actually got me to check AAL, and then other bands in this style (I'm not sure I buy djent as a full fledged subgenre just yet, but a LOT of people do) back when I was lurking. AAL is amazing, Tosin is a monstrous guitarist. Would love to catch them live someday.

Fuck this sounds like it's going to kick ass:

https://www.metalsucks.net/2011/03/30/all-aboard-the-t-r-a-m-to-awesometown-land-of-ear-pussy-massages/

Tosin and Reyes plus two other dudes playing metal tinged jazz fusion.
Dude, Tosin and Reyes are turning out to be unbelieveable guitarists. They should write music at Buckethead's pace.  ;D

Saw these guys a couple of days ago with Tripp at some bar in Scottsdale, Arizona. Great show. I was absolutely floored by just watching these guys hands move all over their instruments. Fucking awe inspiring.

HAHAHAHA thought I posted this already but I guess not.

I ended up going to their concert at the Launchpad here in Albuquerque, its a small place, which is cool because you can pretty much meet the bands. Anyways, I was talking to their Merch lady and asked when Tosin was gonna be by, she then said later on. I said cool, and somehow she ended up making me a bet, as I had no more money, If I jumped off the stage (she asked me what my favorite song was. I replied Wave of Babies) she'd give me a Free Shirt. I said sure, and made sure she was straight on the offer. I saw her at the bar, before Animals went on to make sure she was serious as I was. Waves of Babies started and I jumped on stage, being careful not to fuck up their shit, and leaped for glory....The guy who I think owns the place, took me out and warned me not to do that on his stage, I said no problem, and he let me back in.

I went back in enjoyed the show and after they were done, went to the merch and asked if she saw me, she said yeah, and then proceeded to ask "what type of shirt you want" I took the obvious unique non-black shirt. I then got Tosin's auto, and Dead Letter Circus's auto, which they signed on a poster. I couldn't find the show ad to have Tosin sign it, so I asked him to sign the poster, he laughed and made thought bubbles on 2 of DLC's band members, which was funny as He was writing "Vegemite?" one of them, the same guy yelled VEGEMITE. Got his picture and left the show in awe. My first concert at the Launchpad, and first AAL show...Hope they return.
I don't know how they can be so proud of winning with them odds. - Little Big Man

Deathcore is the worst genre of music on this entire planet. I'd rather listen to boy bands from the 90's than deathcore.

Hey man, Backstreet Boys are pretty damn legit.
Gadough isn't Hitler. He's much, much worse.

Saw these guys supporting BTBAM this week, bloody brilliant. It's such a shame the sound quality isn't that great on the debut album, because their live sound is fantastic. Really looking forward to the new album!

So this thread just made me realize I have seen this band live. They were opening for circa survive. The weird thing was I went to see Dredg and ended up becoming a HUGE circa survive fan. Overall, Animals as leaders was impressive technically, but really weren't my cup of tea.

Well I fell sorry for you in not being able to enjoy this awesome band. Also they have toured with Circa Survive before and Tosin one the guitarist has even played together with them.

So, I think I'm gonna get my first album from Animals as Leaders.  Should I get the 1st or 2nd one?

Has anybody else besides me noticed how the 12 tracks from both albums titles seem to have a similarity with each other????

Actually... yes, yes I did. Weird.

Got it today. Just as amazing as the debut, honestly. I love this album.
