A little tidbit many may not know about his classic match with Ricky Steamboat at WMIII is that those two guys spent weeks getting every thing in that match down pat by practicing at Savage's gym in Florida. Everything in that match was choreographed beforehand by the two, and it resulted in one of the best matches ever. It also broke from convention, as matches back then always went a certain way (face starts off strong, heel then slows it down and dominates for a while, face makes a comeback, and then the match ends somehow), but that match was almost nothing but holds, countermoves, etc, with neither guy ever having a sustained advantage. An absolute gem, even watching it today.
