Had to run to the s tore to pick up some ingredients for her to make dinner. My car lost a break pad last week, so I can't take that.
So I hop in her truck. Start backing up. The wheel's a little cooked and I feel like I'm aiming for my car. So I try to correct it. I over correct. That's not good. I try to fix my angle again, and once again I over correct. I even thought to myself. "Nope, don't want to go in the ditch. Gotta straighten out." So I fix it, I straighten out. But apparently I straighten out so I'm headed right for the ditch.
Next thing I know, I feel the back of the truck go down. I throw it in drive in hopes I can get out. The tires spin, because it's raining and wet as fuck. My first thought is to turn off the engine in case the exhaust is blocked. I get out, check, it's fine. Have mom come out and get in the truck while I push. Nothing. So mom calls her friend to come pull us out. I get a picture of the truck and this guy stops and asks if anyone was injured and if we needed to be pulled out. Said ok, he get's out, takes a good look. He hops in the truck, backs up, and pulls right out.
I'm a science guy. The one thing I didn't think of? Momentum.
TL;DR - how does reverse
