I DON'T KNOW. Serious question here but have you tried just holding down the power button until it goes off and then switching it back on again?
Gadough isn't Hitler. He's much, much worse.
I love how non-mac users get such huge superiority complexes around mac users
If anyone in this thread judge him; heyy James WTF? about you in Awake In Japan? Then I will say; WTF about you silly?
Geniuses don't use Macs.That's why I don't use them
Ah, I just assumed he had a laptop. Never mind.
As frequently happens, Super Dude nailed it.
tjanuranus, you lied to me. I am very upset.
You told me it was a desktop.I'm going to cry now.P.S. I'm just winding you up and I believe you about removing the battery. Super Dude is probably just being a complete Super N00b

Super Dude is probably just being a complete Super N00b unless his mbpro is different than mine.. there is a switch you press on and it pops the battery compartment open. No screws or anything. And yeah i know it's all in fun!

1. It's a pro so I can't access the battery.
Ok when did you buy it? Need the model because if it doesn't have a switch it's a different model. I can help you If I know that info.

That video shows you how to replace it. I have to say I can't believe they are making it more difficult to switch. Apple batteries have ALWAYS been easy to replace. It looks like they want you to go in for replacement. Good thing is the replacement is free. Bad thing is you have to by the apple one which is expensive. I would just buy a third party one and watch that video if you need to replace the battery. So far i'm on 2 and a half years with no replacement needed yet. I wonder how far it will get....
I just can't for the life of me figure out why more people don't just Google a computer problem first before posting about it.
I mean a computer crashing is a very general symptom, and I tried Googling it and I got many issues that were related but not the same thing.
Too much spyware and viruses out there, so you never know if a link that looks legit will mess your computer up. If you can the same practical advice from your fellow forumers, I don't see the problem.

It's funny because Apple is selling people laptops with batteries that aren't user replaceable. Heaven forbid somebody might want to install an aftermarket battery for 1/3 the price. Gotta take it to them and pay $129-$179. The more I hear about Apple, the more benevolent M$ is starting to look.Oh, and the irony.
I was saying that because i've been using apple computers for over a decade now and never came across this. Must be a new thing.
Gotcha. Sill replaceable but not as easy I guess.
@ Ruben: It's a MacBOOK Pro.
