It seems as if the human brain has this "feature" in which we WANT to victims of chaos. How many times have we heard of possible events that will kill everyone? We're still here. I was reading this yesterday, and while it's seems like a tremendous package of BS, I thought it perfectly showed this nature of self-destruction. It's about NIBIRUS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nibiru_collision). They say there is this huge planet that will enter in contact with earth in December 2012. This planet supposedly has the "Gods" that helped start life in the earth, and they would come back to kill us. Okey...right. What I find incredible though is the number of arguments people "create" to support this. They look in Google Earth and say that there is a section cropped so we can't see (government?), and then a telescope built in the South (where supposedly they can observe Natirus better), then they show this pictures from around the globe of people who supposedly can see this huge star, but once again, the government denies everything. Some of this arguments are good, I admit, no one can deny the Mayans knew there was water on the moon and they described the physical features of Neptune and Uranus with a perfection that we only discovered 5 years ago.

Some of these theories are actually a fun, crazy read because people really seem to create this aura of doom and rebellion against the power. If there was a planet bigger than Jupiter that would collide with us, everyone would see it regardless of Google Earth, and most importantly, if 2012 is really the end, I can only imagine this will occur in a very bizarre way.
