Norton sucks ass so I want some better security software. I already have SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes, but I need some kind of normal security program. I'm willing to pay, I just want something that won't delete my .exes or .tmp files created by installers without asking.

...my name is Araragi.

To be fair, only the consumer version of Norton sucks ass.  The enterprise version is excellent.

Don't recall which of the two, but either MB or SAS will slow your computer down tremendously once the 30 day trial expires.  Plus, I don't think they provide realtime protection without $$$.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

I scan infected hard drives with my primary tech system using Nod32 Smart Security 4.  It costs about $60 a year per PC, but might be a bit too hardcore for most general users.  Although it does have some very nice firewall options and more advanced security settings.

For the customers who need something free, I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials.  It is (obviously) made by M$, and offers decent protection with relatively light overhead on the system resources.

I've always liked using Microsoft Security Essentials ever since it first came out.
