I need to split a large .mov file to post on youtube.  I've tried the top hits on google, and none of the trial versions work.  What do you guys use that's free and works?

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

As people said, you should be able to use Movie Maker or iMovie. Personally, I use Sony Vegas, which can be very expensive. It's not the most top-notch, but it's up there and it's been my choice for many years now. If you find that you're completely unable to split this .mov I should be able to help you out, and perhaps even up the quality and compress the size of the files. I know I'm essentially nobody on this forum, but remember. ;)
Ahh, I hit the home button!
