I'd much rather have Thanksgiving and Christmas off (and I am always off for them), and I almost never have to work Easter, so I am usually pretty lucky.
This is the first time I have ever worked Easter. Lowe's is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The only good thing about working yesterday was the fact I got paid for basically doing nothing. I got paid to hang around and bullshit all day.

Yeah, for some people, working holidays is just a fact of life. Especially retail and other service types of jobs. Does anyone not love working every weekend and Holiday while consistently getting Tuesdays and Thursdays off? :(
I do have today and tomorrow off and I can't say I'm not happy about it at the moment.
Usually when I work Saturday its 6am to 2 or 3pm. I still have a good portion of the day when I'm finished. Now getting up at 4:30 in the morning is another story.

I get to spend easter alone in my room as the only other person in my house went back home for the weekend. Woo.
Same, my dad went away for 3-4 days so its just me :D

I love being by myself though :)

Whenever i'm alone i blast music loudly and pretend i'm Petrucci with my Guitar Hero controller.

I probably shouldn't of said that.

I worked 8 hours yesterday. Didn't mind, the store was slow, and I got time and a half for it.

I worked from 8 to 5

Literally did the same thing yesterday on two hours of sleep at Boston Market. My opening employee threw up from drinking the night before so I had to do his job as well. I did not get a break at all. And it was slammed yesterday (BM is huge for those holidays where people eat big meals).

Should be the last Easter I work, or, really, the last holiday I work. Quitting that place in 2 weeks and counting.

I had to work 8-2, and I only got time and a half. I work at a grocery store and we were the only store in the area open, but we closed at 2 PM. They had to have an employee stand out front at 2 and tell people they couldn't come in, because they kept showing up for whatever reason.
