And I don't understand the Comic Sans hate either. I guess a lot of people dislike it for being a "childish" font.. I can understand avoiding the use of that font for important documents and such, but there's no need to hate on it as hard as some people do.

I've always enjoyed the font myself. Probably because of it's similarity to handwriting (childish handwriting, as it is), it always seemed easy to read for me. Anyways, that's my spiel.

Considering it was developed specifically for Microsoft Kids programs this is definitely correct.

I think most people hate it just because it became so overused, even in situations where it wasn't an "appropriate" font. Personally, I can't even identify most of the fonts just by looking at them, so I don't give a what

Part of the reason I'm still using the Friday theme is comic sans.  Comic sans is a nice change of pace.

Or maybe it's just because it's Sunday, which comes after Saturday, which comes after FRI-DAY FRI-DAY.

Well, isn't it really supposed to be a representation of old comic book fonts? I guess that's why people see it as silly to use it for anything unrelated to that.
