I'm about to enjoy some hardcore chicken noodle soup, the packaged variation. I weep for the poor soul that says can.

Neither. But if I have to choose, I'll go for a box because it's easier to bring along or so.

What glaurung said; I've seen packet soup, but never soup coming directly out of a box.

This, although the realistic answer is soup that doesn't use pre-packaged stock/boulion.  You can get good noodles from a package, but nothing beats soup made from fresh stock.  One of my favorite traditions is cleaning the turkey carcass Thanksgiving night, and simmering the bones overnight to make stock, and making soup from that the next day.
