I always say it as "Uh-Rahn-kah" with the emphasis on the "rahn". Am I far off?

That's probably as close as you get. And it's true that I don't really know! There's the original, Hungarian pronunciation, which could be used since both my parents speak Hungarian. But we use a more Swedish one that Swedes have no problem with. This pronunciation is not natural to native English speakers, though, and while Brits tend to say it pretty good it sounds terrible when Americans try. "Ah-rahn-kah" is the best one yet, but I hate it when people go "Uh-RAAN-kah." Anyway, when English-speaking people ask, I get so confused myself I just dismiss the question. :lol
