  • But not the medical kind.
Testing Chrome out for the next week or so, then I'll make a decision whether to stick with it or go back to Firefox for another few years.

I use Firefox but don't care too much as long as it's not Chrome. I would use IE before I used Chrome...
Why such a strong hatred?

Opera's the best built, but I've fallen into just using Safari for the sake of speed, simplicity, and compatibility. Minimalist.
I just read where Safari was the browser that got hacked the easiest at some contest last week, in literally less than 10 seconds.
5 seconds, to be exact.

So I'm to understand Chrome has gotten a lot better since I initially tried it and ditched it after a few days?

I've always been loyal to Firefox, but maybe I'll give it another shot.

If this thread was made 9 months or so ago, I would have posted this.

Mostly Safari.  Firefox 4 comes out on Tuesday and I like it alot.  Chrome is nice.  I never liked Opera (mobile or desktop).   I am on a Mac, so no IE for me.  I tried IE 9 on my wife's Win7 machine and it was good but nothing special.

I was an avid FireFox user, but when I heard about Chrome I decided to give it a whirl. Haven't gone abck since. I think that was over a year ago.

I have Safari and Firefox. I really don't care which one I use. I just pick one at random when I get on the internet.

Opera. I like the big speed dial feature. Plus I always prefer dark/black themes, which you can do on Opera.  :)

I use a web browser.

Firefox is used the most at my school and Opera at home only. Voted for Firefox because I use it the most.

I use Chrome exclusively.  However, when I worked at my last job that required a lot of browser printing, Firefox simply had the better printing options.

I've had absolutely zero problems with Firefox, so I've felt no need to switch to Chrome.  I used to use Safari back when I was primarily a Mac user...crashed all of the time.  I don't have that much IE experience, but it seems pretty crap as well.

Firefox FTW

I use Firefox pretty much exclusively, but we occasionally have a falling out. I'll switch to Chrome for a while, realize how much I miss ad-block plus, and come back crying at Firefox to take me back.

Firefox is really making my computer kind of boggy, but I really like it's ad blocking... very rarely do I ever encounter ads on any website.

So yeah, I might switch to Chrome although I tried it before and it didn't really do much for me then.

I'm using the latest RC version and I hope they have fixed some of the bugs I've come across with it for the official release. Mainly the back/forward navigation is getting weird after a while, I have to restart the browser to fix it. And the music is lagging and "skipping" now and then while I browse with FF4 (both mp3s and Spotify). It didn't happen with FF3 so I guess it's a FF4 problem.

Firefox 4, because it incorperates the best parts of chrome without actually being chrome.

So if I have Chrome, does IE still have to be on my computer, because whenever Chrome.exe is open, Explorer.exe shows up too. Is this normal?

If we're talking background processes, Explorer has nothing to do with internet explorer.

Chrome, definitely. Firefox was always a bit bloated for my taste. Pretty ugly GUI as well.
