I hate when my bracket says one team and my heart says the other team. I have UConn, but there is a part of me that wants to see San Diego St. win.

Thank goodness Wisconsin lost. They play a style of basketball that's uglier than a syphaltic hooker with rosatia and a cleft palate.

So I hadn't actually watched a BYU game until tonight, and thus hadn't seen Jimmer actually play outside of highlights.

I know he had an off-shooting night, which is gonna happen from time to time, but given the hype surrounding him, I was not at all impressed. The guy can obviously score, but he takes a ton of shots, and a lot of them are just plain stupid. He's pulling up for contested 30+ footers time and time again (he went three for FIFTEEN from 3 point range alone) when he's got the ability to get into the lane and create. Dumb.

Also he's a HORRIBLE defender.

Got nothing against him at all; hell I even picked BYU to upset Florida (mistakenly). He's just nowhere near the basketball god the sports media has made him out to be. Which I should have expected.

I've seen him play several times. He just had an off night. He really is an awesome offensive player, trust me.

I've watched him a few times since his name kept popping up on sportscenter all the time , my knock is he forces alot of shots, his judgement at times makes me scratch my head, and you were correct earlier he plays almost no defense what so ever, so whats it all mean, he would fit right in with a majority of NBA teams right now

So what? Since Dick Bennett took this program over 10-15 years ago or so they have been winners with this not so pretty play every year since. Isn't that what counts? They usually play good basketball, that's something any basketball fan should be able to appreciate.

Between the mid 1940's and the mid 1990's I don't think Wisconsin finished in the top half of the Big Ten more than maybe once or twice, and no NCAA or NIT bids over that entire span. Stu Jackson brought a taste of success in 1994, but it wasn't until Dick Bennett and later Bo Ryan that they became considered a top program in the Big Ten. Neither have flashy teams, but you can't argue with their success.

There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that its a team I have no rooting interest in, so I'd rather see teams that play faster than frozen snail. I heard they tried showing that Wisconcin/Penn State game from the B10 championship to POWs and now the captors are up for war crimes charges of torture.

VCU played a very good game, but Kansas also had one of the worst performances I can ever recall seeing in college basketball. VCU literally did EVERYTHING better. If anybody's earned their spot in the Final Four, they have. They've gotta be feeling good; if they can beat KU, they can sure as hell take Butler.
